Question: I think a stray cat stays under my porch i think female shes pretty, any tips to make her stay instead of run?

Lately when I go out to my porch a cat runs out to a safe distance from under my porch, I try to lure her back but she ends up running away to the allyway. im starting to wonder if she is a stray. I say she because about maybe 2 months she ran out from under my porch at night and I could tell the cat was very pregnant but it looked black at the time cause it was late. I've been seeing this cat now bolt out my porch when I go out side and it's the same profile but shes tortise shell with it seems like 3/ 4 of a tail. I'm sure it's the same one. Only difference is the huge belly is gone. Any tips to keep the cat to come by whenever or when it bolts and looks back some kinda hand signs to say hello or something? I have a bad raccoon problem so leaving food out I will never know if the cat ate it or not. I lost my cat about a year ago and imiss the animal companion, I have 3 kids now so getting another cat is unlikely. But this seems cool id like the cat to come over and chill, I'd like to keep her but im not sure if shes really a stray but she seems very scittish I can barely move my hands with out the cat running away I can only make clicking noises for it to stare at me a little longer. Sorry so long, I'm very intrigued. |

If you want her just feed her. She'll keep coming back. If you move slow and have great patience she get use to you. |

Food, start by leaving food out. Make noises with the food bag, then leave it and go away. Soon, the cat will associate the sound with food being brought, and will maybe start coming up when you come out and shake the food bag. |

Leave food for her at night...god, people are so dumb these days. That way she will build trust around you and let her know that you care about her. |

If she had her kittens she's got them stashed somewhere and is probably running to them. Raccoons usually only come out at night. Maybe put the food out for her early morning or noon. |
