Question about stray cat.?
well its not really a stray.. I know whos cat it is.. my sister threw out her cat and let it out to fend for itself near my house..... > .> well let alone now I have this cat I bought food and cat litter I am not very rich I am pretty poor I never taken care of a cat and it seems like its healthy with only some loss of hair prob due to the fact my sister let it out to fend for itself..Do you think its fine if I don't take it to the vet asap because it costs a bit of money and thats something I don't got right now.

Ok so for a couple of months this cute stray cat started coming around my place. I knew He must have had owners before because He had been de clawed and was quite plump. He was also very friendly and every time I opened my door He would try to come inside and chill. He was also very friendly and eager for me to pet him. Maybe a little too much because When I didn't He would try and bite me. Anyway as time went on He would stay outside my place waiting for me to come back from work. Eventually I started feeding him when I realized He was getting super skinny, allowing him to come inside to eat everyday and then leave but soon He grew so comfortable that He'd want to stay in the house more and more eventually He became like the perfect pet who loved to be held and cuddled and was just desperate for love, He even spent a couple of my nights at my place. Anyway about two days ago I was holding him and watching TV when He bit me really HARD, enough to draw blood and I let go of him and sort of dropped kick him probably pretty hard because it was almost involuntary and it must have hurt him because He started Meowing immedeatly asking me to open the door so He could leave and because I didn't want to antagonize Him anymore I let him go. Anyway Yesterday I didn't come around but not only that I didn't see him around the neighborhood either which I always do. Anyway my question is, Do you think He'll ever come back? I miss him and feel so bad for what happened and I know if He won't be able to survive without me feeding him because He has no claws and was obviously a house cat once. Pls let me know what my chances are for him coming back.
I'm worried about the stray cat we look after out in the snow?
unfortunately he is very feral and has not completely warmed up to us yet wont allow us to stroke him, but thinks he some whats trusts us as we have been feeding him since the summer and he seems to have a thing for our little female tortoiseshell..anyway, im from the UK and it started snowing last night and i felt worried about him, but i heard him meowing this morning and walking along the back of next doors garden, and my mum and dad have also seen him, but he hasnt been around for food probably cos he is trying to stay sheltered.but i'm really worried he's going to freeze to death or something temperatures where i am are between 0 1 degrees,we often feed him lots of chicken skin so he has fat to keep warm and he has a big fluffy coat but i cant help feel really worried x
I just had a heat attack and I gather all kinds of stray cats and feed them. Now I am unable to care for them?
I keep all the cats in my home there are a total of about 40 of them..I keep them in the garage so they can stay warm and fed. I am 78 years old and I am having a rough time getting back to health. I don't want to send them to the pound I don't want them put to sleep either. I want a good home for each and everyone of them. All the cats are strays and they do deserve someone to love and care for them. I am need of HELP This has got to be done asap.

It was beautiful day and everyday 2 stray cats comes to my house to get food These cats came to my house everyday like its been many month already and i was bringing them food for the cats and i try to pat one but the cat scratched me and bit me in the hand i was bleeding a lot. It was 1 15 2012 Sunday i got bit in this date. In 1 16 2012 monday Martin Luther king day there was no school my hand started to itch. Todat 1 17 2012 Today is Tuesdat and i went to see a doctor for check up and she got a list and my name was there it's says i got tetanus shot many years ago but i didn't get any rabie shot and she told me to eat this antibotic pill everday, the antibotic teblet was called azithromycin. I took them but i still thought i should gotten the Rabie shot. i feel like vomitting for some reason and but i didn't vomit at all what's wrong with me i am very worriedwhen i pat the cat. The cat was surprised and bit me. It was accendent
Does this mean the stray cat had a home and ran away or is just extremely friendly?
I found a stray cat in front of my apartment yesterday and as I opened my door and was about to leave, she was walking straight towards me and literally sat infront of my door for two minutes. I quickly shut the door and waited for her to leave. When I saw her walking else where I noticed that her stomach was really big and dragging a little so I think she is pregnant. When I went to find her to feed it because I felt so bad she was waiting in front of someone else's door. Does this mean that she has a home and she's trying to find her way back home, or is she just really friendly due to the fact that she's pregnant? Please let me know what you think, and what I should do? I really want to help this cat, but I can't take her into my home, although I do want to continue to feed her until I can find her a proper home.

i just wanted to answer this lol ok stray cats eat foods that we eat. if they r young kittens they have a chocie they beg or quckly snatch the food unlike the older cats they could only snatch the food quickly another thing they eat is left over food in the garbage cans

Lately when I go out to my porch a cat runs out to a safe distance from under my porch, I try to lure her back but she ends up running away to the allyway. im starting to wonder if she is a stray. I say she because about maybe 2 months she ran out from under my porch at night and I could tell the cat was very pregnant but it looked black at the time cause it was late.I've been seeing this cat now bolt out my porch when I go out side and it's the same profile but shes tortise shell with it seems like 3 4 of a tail. I'm sure it's the same one. Only difference is the huge belly is gone.Any tips to keep the cat to come by whenever or when it bolts and looks back some kinda hand signs to say hello or something? I have a bad raccoon problem so leaving food out I will never know if the cat ate it or not.I lost my cat about a year ago and imiss the animal companion, I have 3 kids now so getting another cat is unlikely. But this seems cool id like the cat to come over and chill, I'd like to keep her but im not sure if shes really a stray but she seems very scittish I can barely move my hands with out the cat running away I can only make clicking noises for it to stare at me a little longer. How should I go about befriending a stray cat?
I don't know for sure if it is a stray or a feral cat, but so far I am feeling like it is a stray. For the past couple of weeks every night this young tabby maine coon cat who looks like a much younger version of one of our previous cats has been meowing at our backdoor walking around on the deck meowing. Its a sad kind of forlorn meow too which is heart breaking for me. We have two cats, and although both of them are outdoor cats only one actually spends most of his time outside. Whenever I hear the cat and creep outback, my cat is just sitting on the deck railing as the other cat just meows. At first the cat would run away when I tried to get close. Then last night I went out when it cried and showed it that I was friendly by petting my cat who was laying down. Then I got on my hands and knees and was able to get close to it maybe 3 or 4 feet distance . It just sat there for quite a while as I held out my hand with a treat to see if it would come closer. Unfortunately a loud car scared it away. Luckily the weather has been lovely, but I'd still like to help this cat.Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
What do we do with our "stray cats"?
We have a pair of stray cats that were born in our backyard. They're about 10 years old. Everyone who's lived in the house over the decade has been feeding them. We put flee protection on them also. They explore the neighborhood but have never ventured further than a few houses down. Both cats just hang around our house for the most part. The bigger orange cat is fairly friendly let's you pet him, greets you when you come outside, etc. , the smaller tabby is very shy and timid. When we put food down you can maybe pet him once and quickly but every other time he will defend himself not so mug hissing or any angry actions, just a paw full of claws to your hand . But we will he moving and we don't want to abandon them. We don't know how long the house will sit vacant for or if the next people will take care of them. We are thinking we might be able to take them with to our next house, but we're not sure if they would take off or stick around the house. What's our best option?
