How do i get over the grief of losing my pet cat :(?
i've had my cat tiggy for 7 years and she was relaxing in the back garden, i was watching her because she is a timid cat and gets frightened by anythink, and then the neighbours pitbull jumped over the fence, there only small ones and we were meant to get them made bigger because my dog a japanese akita and the other dog were always trying to get at eachother threw it but it'd never got over before, before you no it the pitbulls got my cat , i ran out and tried to stop it but didnt want to get hurt myself, then my dog got out and saved the cat by jumping on the other dog, so i grabbed my cat and the dog by the colar and ran in the house and locked the door...sadly when i took the cat the vets there was nothing they could do plus the neighbour is now trying to get my dog put down for attacking hers, when it was only saving its companion ..i cant cope i've been crying none stop over the loss of the cat and the thought of losing the dog aswell..how can i sort this out ?

I have a cat named Nala. I adopted her from an organization in 2008 when she was 8 weeks old. She's the only pet I've ever had and I love her so much. I'm the only one in my entire family both sides that has a cat everyone else has a dog. My husband and I recently separated and I moved in with my parents. We have a 1 yr old daughter so she's living there half of the week with me too. My parents hate cats and are allergic so I had to leave Nala with my husband at the apartment. I have been over to visit spend time with her numerous times, I bring her food and litter whenever she is running low and she seems happy and content. My husband doesn't really " like" her he just prefers dogs like a lot of people. He has said that I can keep her there as long as I need to until I get my own place as long as I continue to pay for buy her food and litter. This is no problem for me. I recently contacted the adoption place telling them what's going on and the lady responded saying she had a foster home set up for Nala as early as today. Before I can give her back, I have to take her to the vet so she can be up to date on shots.This is my dilemma question if I give Nala back, she will be fostered somewhere for awhile until she is adopted by someone else. Once that happens, I won't see her again she'll belong to someone else. I feel awful thinking that especially since I'm the only owner she's even known and she really has only warmed up to me never my husband or our daughter.If I keep her with my husband, I have to worry about finding a place to live that will allow a pet cat harder than it seems and I feel like she's lonely over there. I also don't know how long it'll be until I get my own place could be months from now. What would you do??? Please help I need some opinions here

So I just took a 6 week old kitten home from a relative as its starting to get cold and windy, and the kitten had to sleep outside.I took it home and tried to introduce it to my older cat about 5 6 years old but the older cat hissed at it whenever it got too close.I'm worried because at night my older cat has to sleep in the kitchen or outside, and its not going to sleep in the kitchen. I don't think I'll sleep allright tonight knowing that the two might end up fighting and the new kitten ending up dead.So can anyone help me out here? Any awnsers greatly apreciated. A friend of my girlfriend's is going to Kenya for six months and she is going to give us her 8 year old pet cat for that time so we can look after it I'm not sure of its gender yet, so that's why I'm calling it an " it" Anyway, my girlfriend interviewed the cat and said it was nice and friendly and calm. I'm just worried that the cat will be stressed out and scared because of the sudden change of environment. It lived its whole live in the same place and now it's getting transported to a large house with unknown people. We have no other pets.Will the cat have some sort of panic attack or nervous breakdown? I mean, this is a pretty traumatic event emotionally speaking, I think. The cat doesn't know that this is only temporary. As far as it knows, its getting uprooted unexpectedly and placed in a new location with total strangers.

I had the termite control people inject the pesticide in ground around the house last December 9, 2011.The next day my beloved dog died just by merely inhaling the fumes, despite being place in the open air garage. Because of this, I am much careful now. My cats are kept in a green house, a tree beside that green house a mere 2inches from the end of the greenhouse is a tree whose roots were injected by the pesticide too. I had to relocate them and place them in small cages so that they will be away from the area. It is now, Feb 3, almost 2 months after the injecting of termiticide, is it now safe for them to return. How long does the ground stay poisonous?
Flying with pet (cat)?
I just moved to California and in a few months my fiance and I will be flying home to visit our families in Chicago. We adopted a stray kitten back in October, and we are planning on bringing her back with us. We don't have family here that could look after here, and since we just moved here, we haven't really met anyone that we would trust enough to leave her with. And pet hotels are definitely not an option. I have never flown with a pet before, so I'm just wondering for people who have done it, if it's safe? We'll be flying Southwest, so she will be on the plane with us because Southwest doesn't allow pets under the plane, and I wouldn't feel comfortable sticking her down there anyways. She's about 9 months old, but she's still pretty tiny. I've heard that some people give their pets tranquilizers before a plane ride...good or bad idea? Idk, it just scares me because for some reason I think she's going to get sick or something from flying. Is it safe, or should I be worried? Any advice you can give? Thanks SO much
