Approximately how often do you need to change out the litter? Never had a cat before.

There is a young kitten outside and I can hear it meowing and its all alone in the rain. I feel bad. How can I get him her to come closer to us and maybe I can hold onto him and call neighbors about how I found him?
Found lost cat, should we put posters up?
My mom's friend found a kitten, probably two or three months old, downtown. She was lost and starving, so she took her home but she couldn't take care of it so she asked my mom to. My mom took it home, planning on giving it a new home, but we ended up keeping it. This was yesterday. Today my mom went walking with her other friend and she suggested putting up posters saying we found her. But I was thinking...why should we give her back if she was left DOWNTOWN to starve? She's only a few months old, and she was about to die. Obviously they weren't responsible owners if they let a kitten that young end up downtown? She had no collar whatsoever, and she has fleas all over too. Also, there aren't any lost posters downtown. So should we put up a lost sign and give her back, or should we keep her? And if so, how long should we keep them up until we take them down and keep her?
Is this my lost cat or not?
Okay so I lost my cat Leo 5 months ago. Today a cat that looks very similiar to him came to my backdoor and started following me around. The cat I found is a great deal skinnier and doesn't have a collar which Leo had on when he ran away but I think that could have slipped off. my cat is lost in blackpool and has been gone now for ova 6 wks o he was very new to the area as he came from morecambe..i'm at my wits end i've tried everything i can so far but no luck in locating him...anyone out there that can help me...please 'o blackpool to morecambe is 40 miles.. o i've rang shelter..vets..put up posters n flyers...even put him on lost n found with a pic in the paper 4 times..but still nothin.. o

When do I give up looking for my lost cat?
My cat that I have had for the past 2 1 2 years went missing one night because my dads cats knows how to open the back door and I woke up one morning and he was gone my fathers cat of course came back but mine didn't I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and when I lived alone for the past 2 years he was all i had I don't know what to do with myself I have done everything I have gone to the ASPCA and done everything they suggested as well.Now I have become very depressed I already have an anxiety disorder too and I dont know when or how to let go he has been gone for almost 2 months he is my baby but no one seems to understand how I feel and I feel like people including my family think I am crazy . My doctors put me on anti depressants but they seem to make things worse I cant drink, sleep, and have no libido which is definitely affecting my relationship with my boyfriend I have lost all hope somebody out there must know how I feel and know what I should do PLEASE HELP
How to find a lost cat?
My cat ranaway while some people were checking out our house to buy it.We saw the cat last night around 12 00 12 30 midnight There's woods right next to our house and thats where we saw him the first day we noticed he was missing about 2days ago We left tuna and water outside.This is an indoor cat.My cat has all of his claws.We just want our cat back. Please help. It would mean the world to my family. How do I find my cat again?
Just found a lost cat , What should I do ?
She broke my heart so I let her in. She is a little afraid and running around checking my place, now she calmed down but still she won't eat. I went and bought some cat snack and litter stuff. I never had a cat before and I'm kind of afraid that she is sick or going to urinate or poo on my carpet. What should I do to care for this poor thing ?
Heart broken & desperate - need advice about my lost cat?
Please, this is a little long but bare with me. I really need advice and realistic opinions. My 3 4 year old female NOT spayed STRICTLY INDOOR cat came down with what I think is a urinary tract infection as her vagina looked red and bulgy and she started peeing in randoms spots in my room and only a drop or two came out. So I put her in my small bathroom with her litter box and gave her some apple cider vinegar, which cured my brother's cat's UTI. Two days I found that she was not in the bathroom and found out my roommate dumped my poor cat on the next street over, by a few houses that are behind my house I found out the two days after because I just thought someone let her out of the bathroom and that she was hiding somewhere in my house but then they told me. That was the 27th of November. Today is Dec. 1. I have put up flyers of her on every mailbox on every street around my house. I have also posted an ad on craigslist. I'm even offering a reward for her return. I've got a few calls about sightings, but everytime I check it I can't find her. Today and yesterday the weather has been horrible..lots of strong winds and it's been really cold. I know she'll be ok in the cold because she's probably scared to death and hiding somewhere that shields her from the wind, but WHAT ARE THE CHANCES I WILL FIND HER OR THAT SHE WILL FIND HER WAY HOME???? If it was a UTI that she was suffering from, could she even be alive right now??? What are some good tips you can give me that will raise my chances of finding her??? She's NEVER been outside before except for when she was a kitten when we lived somewhere else so I'm worried that she won't be able to find her way home even though she was dumped just the street behind my house.PLEASE, I am so worried. I have been crying and I am just SO upset.I also feel like that since I put her in the bathroom before this happened that she may feel like I don't love her and that I abandoned her. Will she even attempt finding her way home since she was dumped so heartlessly??? I am so worried about her..I've been checking the local pounds, vets, etc....still nothing...any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I posted questions for advice on how to find our lost cat. My brother has seen a cat just like Buttermilk crossing across our yard, we've heard meowing and cat food that we've put out has been eaten. The cat food can has been eaten neatly, like a cat would do, as opposed to a dog that would shuffle the can around and slurp the food out of the can. I've advised all my neighbors of our lost cat, I've put cat food and water on the front porch and in the open garage with a humane animal trap with the cat food placed where it will trigger the trap to safely trap the cat. However, I'm concerned that if the cages trap the cat while we're gone then a dog might get the cat, so I'm careful to lay the traps only while we are not too far away to check them. Also, the heavy rain today is likely keeping the cat in hiding. We want to keep him near our house, so we will continue placing food in both places. I feel like we're covering every base since we are almost certain the orange cat my brother has seen is our cat. But this has been an indoor cat and he is not familiar with the outside of our house. So, in a nutshell, we are very certain Buttermilk is the cat who has been eating the food off our porch, and we're pretty certain he's the cat that has been seen running and hiding between our house and the neighbors. I know I've written a long description, but what advice do any of the Yahoo folks have to get this cat, likely our lost cat to stop hiding and not run further away than he is now? The rain is pouring down today, so we're sure he's in hiding. God bless whoever can advise me with the additional details I've provided.Also, a friend just told me to put out tuna fish on the front porch to help keep this cat near our house until we can catch him safely and bring him back in. Buttermilk has been operated on and for years he was a street cat, but with his arthritis the vet told me to keep him indoors. I think i've found a lost cat?
Last night a large old black and white moggy got in my bedroom window, i took it outside and after i noticed it was abit thin and had no collar i put out some ham and water which it lapped up, it then hang around a while.I saw an advert for a cat matching this describes the cat i found almost perfectly and was last seen it home in May but just a few roads away from meI've emailed them about it but i havn't seen the cat today.. If i see the cat again should i let it come in? andkeep it in until i hear from the person?
