Question: Places that temporarily houses cats?

An extremely close friend of mine is in a very tight situation right now about her two cats. She is having to move into a place that won't allow cats, and none of her family or friends can foster the cats until things get worked out. I would more than love to help out, but I'm still living with my mother who is against fostering any cats. Is there any place, forums, or websites that can help us find a foster home, or even an organization that willingly houses cats for long periods of time? Any leads on places these two kitties can go would be very much appreciated.

I live in NZ so I don't know exactly what is available where you are but we have organisations that will take cats and foster them out but it sounds like your friend will want them back. Maybe put ads in the papers or on websites and see if you can find a temporary home. Good luck.

She might be able to put out ads offering to pay someone to hold her cats for a while. She might also try contacting local rescues and seeing if she can find someone to foster her cats for a while. She will need to make it clear that she will be paying for the cat's resources and just needs someone to house them.
