Question: My himalayan cat has some red on his back?

He's gotten all his shots, but he's been licking his back and I think he's been nibbling it too (Putting his face in it, I don't know what he's doing) and today, his back is a bit wet, and it has red on it, and he's been meowing a lot. He also meows when anyone but himself touches it. Should I just leave him alone to deal with it himself? He doesn't seem to want anyone touching him at the moment. Perhaps it's a rash? I don't know. Specifically, the "rash " is at the bottom of his back, right above his tail. Also, IF I can't take him to a vet, is there any other choice? I also leave him in a large room all to himself, it has a very large bed, his water and food bowl and all the stuff he needs. It also has a window so he can have heat because I hear cats love heat, and I cover it with a curtain when it seems I need to. Also, yes, I change his food. He has 3 different types of food, and 2 bags of treats that I give him a bit of once per day. Everything is fine, the only problem is this red stuff..

It sounds like an allergy, most likely flea related due to the area. i suggest taking him to the vet and letting them treat it as it will be very uncomfortable for him and wont go away. have you changed his food, or any household soaps recently? this could also be the cause EDIT: if you cant take him to the vet your other option is rehomeing him to someone who can actually aford to have a cat, considering it would only cost about 50 at the most! if you actually gave a dam you'd sell things to afford it, like your computer your on instead of getting your cat the help it needs
