I breed, and LOVE hairless Sphynx cats. I know they take some getting used to, but what is the general perception among cat lovers.....are Sphynx adorable or scary?I'm glad so many share my love of this breed. However, I am flabbergausted by Mocha's response. In answer, Sphynx is not a genetic fault, but a recessive gene that naturally occurs in the wild in about 15 year cycles. And, is it cruel to have a hairless cat in the state of Arizona where having a thick coat of hair is more torturous than being bald when it is 100 degrees where I live? A responsible cat owner doesn't let their cats outdoors to be exposed to elements, whether is is heat, or cold. I most certainly did purchase At 2500 a piece the best breeding pair, and the father is a grand champion. I DO not cage, and only have 1 breeding pair and DO NOT do it for money, but for the LOVE of the breed. I spend way more than I make. I do intend to show my cats and they are registered with CFA and TICA. Everyone in my immediate family is allergic to cats, and I love cats. Which sucks. And I think hairless cats are cute in an ugly way.. if that makes sense. P But what do they feel like? Would petting them creep me out?They're allergic to the dandruff, not the saliva.

My buddy told me about laser for cats to remove their hair, but midway through telling me where a cat laser clinic is, he died in an ice fishing accident. Do you happen to know about one? I am willing to travel countrywide to find one to finally get my cat into a hairless...
