Will female cats stay gone from home when in heat? If so for how long?
I have a female cat that had her first litter of kittens about 5 months ago. We gave all the kittens away except for one, up until recently the momma cat has had no problem her kitten its also a female but recently she's been being aggressive towards her and now suddenly the momma cat is gone. She has been gone for 3 days, I've looked around and haven't seen her in the roads or dead anywhere so I got to wondering if she could have went into heat? The past 2 days i've heard tom cats making growling noises near the house but she's still no where to be found. I had plans of getting her spayed soon but is it possible she has went into heat and could not be coming home because of that?

Do female cats get periods?
My cat got the carpet all bloody. Skid marks everywhere.

Will my 2 female cats come back?
About 18 months ago, I began feeding 3 cats a mother, a daughter and a son who originally lived next door, but set up home in our old garage. Then last spring, The 2 females had given birth to a litter each and between them had 3 males and 1 female. They all lived in the garage and had daily feeding from me. Just before christmas last year, when the kittens were fully weaned off milk, the 2 adult females mother and daughter disappeared Then havent been back since. However all of the other cats remain.

What is the correct term for male and female cats?
Example Female dog bitch what about a cat ?

Why does my neutered male cat mount only one of my female cats?
I have a neutered male cat, who is nearly a year old, and two female cats who are not spayed that are 11 months old and 6 months old. Ever since they were young kittens, my male cat has been trying to mount the 11 month old female cat. She never lets him and is very much uninterested as she HASN'T yet gone into heat. But he never tries it with the other female cat, or person or piece of furniture as I've heard some male cats do.I'm sure its a dominance thing, but what exactly does that mean?Does that mean that he is dominant and trying to show her that,or does it mean that she is dominant and he's trying to take her down a peg? And where does that place my younger female cat? Its obvious that my male cat loves the young female very much he is not very affectionate with anyone, but when it comes to her he is always grooming and snuggling her.I'm just wondering why he is always harassing the one female and no one else? Other than that they get along perfectly.

Do neutered female cats mark territory?
We recently had to get rid of my male cat. Because he marked his territory with urine all over the couch. We're going to be getting a female kitten soon, and I don't want to have to worry about the same thing with her. She will be getting " fixed" right away.

Where in Oshawa or area can I have my female cat spayed cheap?
I have very low income being on Ontario Disability Support and vets are always preaching to do the right thing and get your animal fixed, however most vet costs for this procedure are outrageous and I'm sure there must be help or options for people like me with low pay grades. Please Help I know that in Toronto and the GTA, there was a place called Spay Central that would neuter or spay cats for $50 and Male Dogs $60 and Female Dogs $80, and it wasn't even mandatory for animals to be up to date with current vaccines. But I'm not sure if they're even still in business b'cuz now I can't find their contact info anywhere online.

Why does my female cat have two lumps on her lower stomach?
my cat has two lumps on her stomach. they run parallel to each other, near her hind legs. after i felt the first i thought it may be a tumor but now i know there are two im a little confused. is it somthing to do with her reproductive organs like her ovaries or something? do all female cats have these? i dont know how old she is or what treatment she has had before as i took her in after finding her in a garage starving to death.

I have a seven year old spayed female cat who lived by herself in our large, finished basement.?
I recently adopted a 3 year old, neutered male cat to keep her company. The male is a very sweet cat, but my " Alpha" female isn't happy with him. He spends most of his time " hiding out" . I try to give them equal attention, but they don't seem to be warming up to each other. They each have their own litter box and food and water dishes.Any idea how I can help this situation along? My female cat brings home male cats?
Like the cat will sit out side and meow till i let her out.

Bald spot on female cat's back leg at elbow joint?
I discovered a bald spot on my cats back leg around the " elbow" joint. She has one on both legs in about the same spot. The one on her left leg seems to be getting slightly bigger. The hair has been missing for awhile and is not growing back. The skin seems to be dry and flaky, almost scaly sort of. There is no redness or bumps so it doesn't appear to be fleas. She is grooming herself slightly more than usual, but isn't biting or chewing her skin. Other than that, no unusual behavior. Although there is some mucous like material on her eyes, like eye boogers. The bald spots don't seem to bother her or cause any pain, but its worrying me that she's losing fur. Because she is a longhair indoor cat and she has very thick fur and doesn't shed much. So the bald spots suddenly appearing with no apparent cause are worrying me, especially since the fur hasn't grown back. She has a vet appointment, but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?She is a domestic longhair. She has lived indoors since we got her. I'm not sure if she lived outside with her previous owner. We've had her since she was 2 and a half months old. Shes almost a year now.

My male cat attacked a female cat that we tried bringing in from outside to put in the garage?
She was getting ganged by three male cats because she is in heat so we went and grabbed her to stick her in the garage over night. When the person carrying her got her inside the cat clawed them, in return they released the cat from their grasp. After that my male cat pounced on her and started attacking her, they both lost some fur and he kept chasing her till we put him in a separate room. Now, I'm just asking why he would do this and if anything could be spread to him if he had his shots, or to any of our other cats.I don't want them dying getting diseases because we tried to save another cat from getting ganged.

6 year old female cat is aggressive?
Her name is Cheyenne, and is she is a 6 year old female adult, she has Calico like coloring, but no white whatsoever. My boyfriend's family adopted her as a kitten from a shelter, had her spayed and all of her shots done. Ever since I started dating him, she has shown to always be aggressive, never liking to be held, only lying down by one of us when it was her idea, etc.Well my boyfriend and I recently moved in together, and took the cat in because his parents left the state. He doesn't like her to go outside, and as a result, she's gained weight. I try to tell him that she needs fresh air, trees to climb, the sun on her, etc., but he is afraid that she will run away or get eaten by a coyote, as we live far in the country. She seems to have gotten more relaxed lazy but at times more aggressive. She absolutely does NOT respect my boyfriend, as he never punishes her for scratching him or scratching the woodwork. I am firm with her, and do not let her get away with such things, she wouldn't dream of scratching me. She does not like other animals or kids, and if she so much smells another cat or dog on our hand, she will hiss and back away. She acts like a very independent cat, but if we come home and don't go to our room first to see her and she hears our voices, she will wail very loud and jump up at the door. And when we go to give her attention because she seems lonely, she acts like a little b again I do think she respects me more than my boyfriend, mostly because of the way we talk, how Im more in charge of finances, time, etc., and he is much more lax.If there is any way to improve her behavior, please let me know I want her to be a more casual, laid back cat... and maybe, just perhaps, get along with our other cats? Yeah, no, that doesn't make me abusive. Lightly slapping them on the head is not abuse. Let me guess, you're the type of person that has the little brats running all over the Supermarket and refuses to spank them, right? I was raised kind of old school, sorry. Animals can be trained and conditioned.
