Question about feeding cats?
ok so after months of searching, ive FINALLY found a place that sells grain free cat food, i live in new zealand, and its extremely hard to find, the brand is fussy cat. anyone know anything about it, is it good? bearing in mind ive been searching months for it, and brands like orijen, etc arent sold here. best food u can get it nutrience, royal canin and hills science diet but i want a grain free. thanks in advance.
Why do people suggest not feeding cats seafood flavored foods?
My cats are on a mostly dry food diet. I give them blue buffalo chicken flavored food. I buy wet too and feed it to them once or more a week. I keep hearing to stay away from seafood flavors but not sure why. I try a variety of flavors and brands of the wet to see what he likes and he seems to really prefer Surf n Turf by Merrick. Is it ok to buy him more of the fishy flavors if thats what he prefers as long as his daily diet is a chicken based food?I don't give them milk ever and I do give a PINCH of canned tuna if I am making a salad for myself but thats only once a month or so if even that.I mainly feed them the dry food and they do have plenty of water with their fountain they drink from daily. One cat just never did like wet food but I put it out sometimes and the boy is the only one to eat it

We've had some stray cats around my house, 5 according to my brother, although none have approached us.Being the animal lover I am, I sat some food out on the back porch for them. i have 4 cats, 2 adults around 2 years old and 2 kittens 6 months . I feed all my cats wet food twice daily morning and night and leave dry food there when I'm going to work. One of the adult having have urinary tract infection, and i already take him to vet, the vet give him injection, pill and a pack Urinary S O cat food. After i take him back, i start feeding him Urinary S O dry cat food, he love it, the problem is he getting diarrhea the next day. 1. Should i mixed it with normal food before i change it completely to Urinary S O food? 2. and how long he should take this Urinary S O cat food? 3. another thing is my other cats jealous with the Urinary S O food that this cat have, and they want to eat too. My Aunt gave me a box of wet canned food for my Cat, because her cats wont eat it. It's Friskies brand. I've read that it's not good for them. But that seems to mostly be for dry food? Hi. I know dry food is bad for cats. My cat just turned two and she's been on it ever since we got her at 4 months old. A few questions 1 how much damage is done with 2 years on dry food?2 how much meat do I give her? shes a brown medium hair tabby, about 12 lbs. pretty big cat, she was a pretty big kitten as well. right now she eats about 1 2 cup of dry food per day, and most days, she does not even finish it3 is it just red meat or chicken and fish too? 4 do i cook it? bake it? to kill the bacteria?5 do they get sick eating it bacteria, etc. ?6 would you happen to know if there have ever been really bad reactions to eating pure meat? i mean, i know they are carnivores, but being domesticated, i am worried that maybe it isn't 100% good for them?If anyone out there actually feeds their cat meat, can they help me and give me advice and tell me how they do it and how their cat responded to it?
