Maybe these will help: cat-world.com.au/ increased-appetite-polyphagia-in-cats ehow.com/ how_6760454_treat-appetite-losing-weight-diarrhea.html?ref= Track2 &utm_source= ask Growing cats go through eating cycles. A time period where they eat normally and then a cycle where they eat you out of house and home. Each cycle can go a few weeks. The increased eating is to keep up with their growing. Were you feeding the cat enough to begin with? Does the cat eat a lot then finally stop? Then it just wasn't getting enough food. Another cause might be tapeworm, it might not show in poo. Has the cat been wormed? Keeping it in the basement alone is a horrid punishment for something that is probably medical. |
