How long is cat contagious?

Question: How long is cat contagious?

One of my cats was recently diagnosed with feline panleukopenia. After a week of illness he went to a better vet and stayed there for a week. He is now home, and I have to keep him seperate from the others but for how long? The other two had vaccinations but quite a few years ago. They didn't get sick the whole time Mao was at home and ill, what is the chance they could get sick now? I am in China and the comunication between me and vet isn't great. OH, the other two are getting their boosters now, but the vet said it would take a couple of weeks for full effect

The virus that causes FP is difficult to destroy and resistant to many disinfectants. At room temperatures, virus present in a cats' environment can still infect other cats for up to one year. Ideally, unvaccinated cats should not be allowed into an area where an infected cat has been — even if the area has been disinfected.

The flu never really gets away until like a month or so. If it doesn't any signs or symptoms for a week or so it should be ok for them to be together, but look out for the others, they may still get it. (Symptoms: wet nose and eyes, weak, loss of apetite)
