We operate a cat rescue and recently rescued a litter of kittens.FIV FeLV negativedewormed immediately upon arriving at shelterkittens had diarrheatreated 10 days of Albon & nothing...no improvementskittens had 7 days of marquis paste to follow with liitle improvement..still diarrhea just a little lesstheir anuses are red & irritated, using ointment to help soothenow vet is treating with Flagrly for possible Giardia & still no improvementwe also fed them a bland diet of boiled chicken & rice for a week & nothingFecal test has been negativePossible Tririchonomas??Anybody have any experience with this, insight, sugestions??Thank You

Do cats ever eat dogs' food (and vice versa)?
I have a cat who tends to overeat his dry food and now I'm getting a dog. Is the cat likely to try to eat the dogs' food? Or is the dog likely to try to eat the cat's food? Or both?I'm trying to get an idea of what feeding issues to expect and how to prevent them.
If I'm allergic to cats, does that mean I'm automatically allergic to dogs as well?
I am thinking about getting a puppy but I'm not sure if I'll be allergic to it as well.
How should I keep cats away from my backyard?
Hey, I have 8 maybe more newborn bunnies in my backyard, they live hide under a shed. Sometimes, a cat would come by and try to eat them. I need to find an effective way of keeping them out maybe even a fun way > hehehe . I don't only get cats around here, one day a hawk tried to prey on them, so keep that in mind...I'm looking for detailed answers I might actually use. 10 points will be to the one which takes least effort and does the job the most.
Help my 2 cats are limping?
I have 2 female cats. Both cats were fine one night and they were up the next morning limping. One cat seemed to be limping from the right front and the other the right rear foot. The one wasn't limping that bad on her front leg as the other was. Tonight The cat that wasn't limping as bad seems to be worse and the one that was bad from the begin inning seems just as bad can anyone tell me what could've caused this?

Any easy and CHEAP DIY ways to hide a cat litter box?
I am looking for ways to fashionably disguise my unsightly cat litter box. I love my two cats, Lilith and Athena, to death...the only bad thing about being a cat owner is that their litter box can become a bit of an eye sore. I live in a two bedroom apartment, so putting the cat box outside is not an option. I have researched online some creative ways to hide the litter box. so far, the best option i have found is this unclutterer.com 2007 09 25 sleek way to hide kitty litter box I love this idea, but am not too partial to spending almost 100 dollars on it. I was thinking of going to the local goodwill and buying a piece of furniture similar to this see link above and cutting a hole in the side of it for my cats to crawl through. does anyone have any other easy as i'm not all that handy and CHEAP do it yourself ideas for this particular problem? if so, I would be glad to hear them. links would also be helpful, but not necessary. thanks in advance, guys
My female spayed 2 yr cat peed on blanket on floor for the first time?
I was in my bedroom with her and I closed the door, and she was really hyper like usual. She was scratching at the door, but she always does that because my cats hate closed doors... so it wasn't unusual. Then I heard scratching at a blanket on the floor again not unusual because she does this for some reason when shes hyper. A few minutes later I smelt an oder. She peed on the blanket huge wet spot, usually pee spots in the litter box are small, but it covered a good amount of the blanket . I just worried that this might happen again and hoping it was just a one time thing because I had the door closed. Whats your input?
Young cat; ravenous appetite?
My husband and I are watching our friends cat while she is finishing college. He's about a year old, neutered and shots up to date. He is driving us insane with the amount he eats and the way he acts when we start to feed all of our animals. We started keeping him in the finished basement because he would try to eat the other 2 cats and sometimes the dogs food He will rip open bags of bread and knock over the trash Meow incessantly and he destroyed our basement door trying to get out for more food He is not losing weight and there is no sign of worms. Any ideas? We can't afford to bring her cat to the vet and I highly doubt she has the money right now. It's just driving us crazy
Keeping a cat indoor? Good or bad idea?
i have an 8 month old female all black kitten, i live in scotland so i wouldn't be letting her out until june, but im not sure about letting her out at all? shes very small for her age, she about the size of an average 5 month old kitten, and because shes all black i worry about her not being seen by cars. On christmas day my other cat was hit by a car, hes a huge half Bengal marbled tabbie with a bright red collar, he's fine now, but we've spent over 300 getting him better. we don't live right near the busy road, for me its a 5 10 minute walk away and we never had any bother with it when we had our previous cat but i have seen many cats dead beside the road. I don't know weather to let my cat out or not, we have a huge garden so they don't really need to go far but cats being cats like to wander, at the end of our garden here is a field with plenty of mice. she never really bothers about going outside, she has plenty of toys to keep her entertained, i just feel im taking away her instinct, any advice on what to do?
Is Cat URI Contagious to Dogs? Or Humans?
My Kitten has a Upper Respertory infection,And Her older brother has it as well.We Also Have 2 dogs, 1 Puppy and 1 Elderly Dog,I was trying to find out if my Dogs are At Risk As well due to my cats having URI,And If I am also at Risk.Thankss Please Help,Im clueless on this stuff.
Help with cat flea problems!!!???!!!?
I have two male indoor cats, they have somehow gotten fleas. I have tried everything from giving them baths to spraying down the house. I have had to force myself to make my indoor cats now outdoor cats, thought this would fix the problem.Went home today and it's even worse, or it may seem worse because the fleas have no " host." So how to fix this problem? Do I spray down the whole house or bomb the whole house? Need help, I can't live like this.The cats will now stay as outdoor cats don't worry, they are okay, being fed everyday etc It is not uncommon for them to be outside because they would come and go as they please when they were indoor cats.
Is it ok for my cat to eat my dogs moist food?
He really prefers my husky's pedigree choice cuts in gravy over his own purrfectly chicken or fish. They usually start off at their own bowls then my cat goes over to the dog's bowl and helps him finish whatever is there, then my dog comes over and finishes the cats food.I'm thinking I'll stop getting the moist cat food altogether and just give them both the pedigree at night. Is this ok for my cat?They both eat dry dog cat food in the morning and afternoon. BUT the dog keeps eating the cat's food. lol these two are confused I think. Maybe if I start putting their dishes in the opposite areas I can trick them into eating their own food.Anyway, the dog likes the cat's dry food and eats it all up , no one likes the dog's dry food, and they both love the dog's moist food, and my dog eats the cat's moist food because it's there.
