Question: Are ragdoll cats/kittens hypoallergenic?

I'm trying to convince my parents to let me get a ragdoll kitten. The main reason they don't want one is because they are allergic. I was wondering if they are hypoallergenic? Thanks!

No. There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic cat or dog.

NO - there are no "hypoallergenic " pets - all pets have hair/ fur; all pets shed. There are cats that shed less then normal and may be tolerated by those with mild allergies. Ragdolls shed - even if you comb, so they probably would not work. Just wait till you are on your own and out of the house (own apartement) to get a cat.
