Next step in maintaining my cats health?
my super healthy 10 yr old tabby went into the vet late monday night result was urine crystals... my question? he is raw fed since 6 months why is this happening, and what are some holistic remedies to keep the crystals from reoccurring?

Is pregnancy bad for a cats health?
Is a cat that was neutered early in life or later and has never had a litter on track for better health than a cat who has produced litters?

Should I be concerned for my cats health?
Hi. I recently got a cat currently aged 11 weeks and I have noticed he has a bit of a bulging stomach at the moment. I know for a fact that this can sometimes be a symptom for illness in a kitten but as far as I am aware he has no other potential health threats. His stomach also feels very solid. I thought this may be a result of him gaining weight but I am still concerned, particularly of the solid feeling in his abdomen. Should I take him to the vet immediately or is this not worth panicking over? He seems fine behaviourally and has had no trouble eating. I need to take him to the vet in about a week anyway for a vaccination so I was wondering if I should take out a loan and bring him to the vet tomorrow to be safe or if I should just consult the vet in a week.

How to get my 8 week old kitten to eat help please am concerned for my cats health?
i have a 8 week old american short hair i adopted her from a local animal shelter 3 days ago she is the runt of the litter and is very young and small for her age she is potty trained and was just spaded notered the day before we got her the first day we were not expecting much and were going to introduce her to the house and our family slowly due to the fact we have a dog, two birds and another cat that is my brothers and we only see her once every two mounths well any way we brought her home and she was ahy at first and like to explore she played with her toys, drank from her water and ate the food that the adoption center gave us to feed her since she was a kitten the is lovable, energenic, love to play and loves to sleep and get into hard places to hide when scared but she aways reapairs 3 minutes latter she likes to sit on your neck like a cat and pure she loves attention but we noticed that she has not been peeing or pooping its coming on the forth day she drinks and eats but nothing come out she is skinny and when you hold her you can feel her ribs i love her to death but i am getting kind of wearied she has pooped once since we brought her home and peed like twice when she goes into her cat box she will sit squate likes something is coming out but nothing ever does she shiftes the litter around like something is there but there is nothing and when you place her in the cat box she leaves right after you let her down.we think she is constipated but she has pooped once or twice so we dont think so then we gave her milk and she takes one sip and lets the dog have it when in the kitchen she meows constently at you and trys to eat off your plate so we beleave its that she is not eating but i see her eat so what is wrong i need a seriuce answer please i am worried i love this kitten and dont want any thing bad to happen to her please help.

Help with my cats health!?
My cat is sick and I've tried all different types of dog food I started with dry cat food and moved to soft food like canned fish and when my cat goes poop it has a hard time and the poop is liquidy and orange, I licked it and it squished in my mouth and made me gag, When it was healthy all I had to do was press on it with my tongue to make it squish down my throat, reminds me of the years of changing diapers. You guys arn't even questioning what I wrote ? I think you are all the ones sick in the head.

Im afraid for my new cats health!?
I found a stray a couple weeks ago, shes my new pet now. and next week were taking her to the vet to get her check ups. but i notice she is ALWAYS hungry. not kidding. right after she meows and begs like crazy to be fed, she meows again like crazy. O 0 like shes always starving or something. she licks the bowl clean too, and she has stinky poops and farts alot. whats with her? other than that she seems healthy, and quite happy and calm and loving. i hope she doesnt have worms > .>

Rabies shot question, concerning my cats health?
My cat suffers from an autoimmune disorder and past vaccinations and drugs given to her have triggered reactions. I live in Virginia and ever 3 years cats are required to receive a vaccination and the time is up. Are there any restrictions on this law that any of you may know of? She is strictly a house cat and never comes in contact with any cats or animals that are.

Urgent help regarding my cats health, vet was no use? (Long inside)?
My cat is a female & around 13 years of age. She's been in perfect health all her life, no complications, illnesses etc.Last night she came into my room and let out an extremely strange meow which I know was a cry of pain. After doing this 3 times & looking around her looking a bit wobble she lay down. Here she stayed for 10 minutes or so then retreated to under my bed. After about 9 10 hours she came out meowing the cry of pain again & laid at the top of the stairs.I rang the vet immediately & told her the current symptoms, crying in pain, will not move, will not eat or drink but she's alert. The vet just told to just keep on eye on her as since it's emergency hours as it's sunday a call out charge or bringing her to her will cost 200 BEFORE she even gets seen to. I found this extremely useless as surely with hearing symptoms she'd be able to think of a few possible reasons, but of course she'd want money before telling me anything.Earlier I attempted to coax her out with milk as she'd usually run 100 miles an hour to her bowl to get some no luck there, she simply starred at it. & just a few moments ago I attempted to coax her with chicken, she looked as if she wanted to eat it as she started to purr at the smell of it and was sniffing it when I held it near her mouth but she wouldn't open to mouth to eat.. I stroked her body and noticed it was hard, stiff even. She had no reaction to my touch which is extremely odd and she's not a very affectionate cat & hates being touched anywhere past her head even since she was nurtured many years ago. She also seems as if her body is flat?Another thing I noticed was her body was slightly off colour, her coat looks black but when the sun shines on it, it has a brown sheen, but in my room with the blinds closed it looked a brown brassy colour.I honestly believe she's dying, or picked up a nasty illness from licking something outside. Does anyone have any idea of whats wrong with her, what to do, and how long you think she has left? I also have another cat which is her birth sister & if I lose my ill cat right now i don't know what my other cat will do without her because they do everything together Obviously I know no one can physically help me, I'm asking does anyone what it might be or have experienced the same thing as I won't be able to bring her to a vet close by until tomorrow.

Cat health issues.help! please!?
I got my cat from a flea market as a kitten about two years ago.she has never really grown right, and she was weaned too early.she has had tapeworm problems about six times now,and the first two times,i had no idea until it was severe icky Each time,we have treated her,our home, and outside as in spraying for fleas we do not have a flea problem at all.But what is so strange to me is that NONE of my other pets have gotten them at all.only her.I am very overwhelmed & upset at the situation, because it grosses me out,and i cant keep affording to buy her medication.i am leaning towards taking her to the humane society & having her put down.I am very confused.is she just a very unhealthy & sick cat?I know cats can get them from their mothers, and from swallowing fleas, but wouldn't the first time we gave her medication take care of that? Help I HAVE taken her to the vet.twice.they gave me the same pills i got off petmeds.com,and basically told me to go home.

Vets/vet techs/cat health experts-feline leukemia question,please?
i have 5 cats with feline leukemia, all still asymptomatic.i also have 2 negative kitties.i keep the felv and the negative cats seperated in different parts of the house.i would love to put the negative kitties in a bedroom for a few hours, and let the felv guys have access to the living room for a little while.i would remove the climbers, toys dishes and scratching posts of the healthy kitties while the felv cats are there.since it is spread by saliva, urine, biting, blood and giving birth,i assume it would be ok for the cats just to play and walk on furniture?or am i mistaken? the felv cats get plenty of love, but live at the back of the house, where we visit and care for them.i just thought they would enjoy spending time with the family in the living room,a more central location.we would enjoy their company.but i dont want to jeaopardise the healthy cats, who stay in the living room most of the time.is it ok as long as the cats are in no direct contact,or is even walking across the same room bad?im not sure how, since it is a blood and secretion borne virus, not an airborne one like flu? any advice welcome. ps i rescued the felv cats from being pts at the shelter.as long as they remain asymptomatic and enjoy their lives,i will let them have a shot at life, whether short or long.they are all doing well so far.again, the negative and positive cats will never meet,i just want to put the healthy cats in another space briefly and let the felv cats enjoy the living room a little bit each day.

Need Advice On Cats Health?
I have two cats, both are about 17 or 18 I am not really sure. As of late, both of them have been acting like they got something in the back of their throats yet it looks like nothing there. I know it's not hairballs because we have tried everything to get rid of them if it was. The Male cat we have has thrown up but he continues to act like he has something stuck and now our female has the same problem. We don't have the money to take them to the vet and they don't do credit either but I am worried about them both. The female is fine now, appartley she just ate to fast and gagged. Now the male on the other hand is still acting weird. He would eat and afterwards would tilt his head and sound like he is gagging. After a moment or two he will bring what he has ate back up but no fur or anything. He also has started to sleep more but will still play when he wants to and has lost some weight, his nose will be cold yet warm at the same time, he will do act one in the litter box but seems to be having problems doing number 2.

Cat Health Testing???
So I've been researching dogs for a while now, so I know all about the health testing reputable dog breeders should do. And I know that cat breeders need to do health testing on their cats.. What sort of health testing do they need to do?

Cat health question plz?
i have had many cats but do not know of this problem. My cat has occational raw skin wounds that are apparent but scab over and heal. I am not sure why she is getting them. I put together where they were to keep in mind of any similarities. I noticed they apear where a substance was on her fur. She does not itch or scatch it and they all appear above her neck head area . I'm not sure if substances on her fur would cause a wound. I need a sure answer so only answer if you truly do know and not from opinion.
