Are cat worms really dangerous?
my cat is about a week late on getting dewormed because we haven't got enough money for the vet yet. is it o.k to wait?
What do i do if i know a cat who has cat worms but its not mine and the owners wont do noting?

Okay I have a new kitten, 6 weeks old and I was pretty much waiting for the 8 week mark before I have him deflead and dewormed. I don't really see anything in his stool but his stomach seems a tad bit round but that could just be because he eats a lot I know that the majority of kittens have worms from the get go be it from mother's milk or fleas. My kitten and cat sometimes use the same litterbox so I was wondering if it was possible for my cat to possibly catch the worms if my kitten has any. I also want to add that my cat has the funniest way of going to the bathroom, he teeters on the edge of the litter box and never lets his paws or but touch the litter. I keep them sleeping in separate rooms so they don't share a sleeping space. Anyway I appreciate the input

i just got a kitten. he is 8 weeks old. i know he has worms and they look like rice. im taking him to the vet this weekend in 5 days . till then i need to know if these worms can hurt or get inside of people?? please if anyone can answer this please do so. thank you.

We're leaving on vacation on Friday. My neighbor comes over to feed my cat while we're gone. I just found out that her cat has worms and she has not brought her cat to the vet yet. It's been over a week. Can my cat catch worms from her? Her cat will not be over here. Can they pass through people? Should I find another cat sitter?

Something has been on my mind. I was told that when you have cats you could get worms from them. which is true. but how common is this? i have a child and 2 cats. recently i found fleas and flea eggs...been trying to get rid of them but they wont go away. i heard if you swallow a flea larvae by accident somehow you could end up with worms. is that true? well my daughter got sick and vomitted all night last night...shes always hungry....now i may be over reacting......but then again i may not be. my question to you is this How common is it that when you live with cats a child gets worms?????? has your child ever had it??? thanks
I gave our 8 week old puppy cat worm treatment. More below?
It is a paste, i gave it to him because he wouldnt take the dog one and he has worms, i gave him less than 1 ml, and the packet says more animals treatment only. But will it hurt the puppy and if not, will it still get rid of the worms?it is Purina total care, i dont know all the ingrenents but on the measuring tube it has on it. Each ml contains, 115.2MG PYRANTEL EMBONATE and 300MG NICLOSAMIDE. If that makes any sense to you.I gave he the cat wormer because i could get him to take the dog worm chocolate and the beef ones, he wouldnt eat them and they had no paste like they have for the cats. that why i gave the cat wormer to the dog

I have four cats One is an older female that always goes outsideOne is a younger female that was a pregnant stray that we took inThe two others were the pregnant strays kittens, who are about 8 months old nowWe got the stray and her two kittens all spayed. The vet said that the mom had tapeworms, so we gave her some deworming medicine, and she gained a bunch of weight. All was good. One of the kittens LOVES to play with a stream of water in the sink, so as she was trying to grab the small stream with her little paw and her butt in the air, I noticed ricey looking things around her anus. I noticed this once before but it didn't even occur to me about what it could be. This time i took a closer second look and they seemed to be moving a tiny bit..So, my question is, do these sound like tapeworms? My older cat is the only one that goes outside, the stray mother got dewormed, and the vet didn't say that the kittens had any tapeworms..Does this mean that my cat that is the only one who goes outside probably gave them some fleas, which had the tapeworms? We regularly give the cat that goes outdoors flea medication, but forgot it for a little bit, and ended up with some fleas on the cats..So, we gave them all medication. Or, is it possible that the mother cat gave them the tapeworms when they were inside of her? or really young? I can get the deworming medication for all the cats without having to bring them all into the vet and I want to know if i should give them all the medication, since in previous months we had seen fleas on them all and they all share cat litter boxes?And one last question, these cats sit on the couches and,obviously, floors and sleep with us sometimes..Can people get these tapeworms?Sorry, that was really long. Please let me know what you think?Can people get the tapeworms if the cats are leaving the segments around when they sit? I understand we can get them by eating a flea that is infected.

Can dogs be harmed by eating cat worming tablets?
i crushed up my cats second dose of worming tablets into his food but he refused to eat it so i left it down just in case he went back. i went to the food not long after the cat left it to see if he had eated the tablet and found my dog had just finnished eating the food and the tablet. now im worryed just in case the cat worming tablet is harmfull to the dog. please help
