How much would it cost to get your cat vet checked for pregnancy etc?
Im pretty sure my cats pregnant, how much would it cost me if i was to get her scanned etc?
Went on a site for a sick cat vets wanted money when applying almost with card.Why could I not leave ?
When applying almost with my credit card, I changed my mind could not leave the site, so finally had to shut down the computer to get out of it.
Strange condition in my cat vet can't diagnose, do you know?
My female tuxedo cat Mooka is 9 years old. She was a rescue. Most vets think she is main coon mix. When blood began to appear in her stool about 6 months ago, I got worried and began researching what might be wrong. Three vet visits and $500 in comprehensive blood tests showed she's the healthiest nine year old cat the vet has ever seen. The blood disappeared after a round of meds in a week. BUTEven after switching her to a wet food diet, she CONTINUES to lose weight. She's so gaunt now, but she eats a very healthy amount, and I feed her more if she still seems hungry. Conversely, my siamese cat gets fatter by the day. They are NOT eating each other's food. I lock them in two separate rooms for feeding . She seems dehydrated, but she never wants water. The vet said wet food should provide enough water.Mooka walks a little hunched over. Palpitations to her belly seem totally normal no pain. She still runs up and down the stairs and seems playful.Her tail used to flip over on her back when you said her name, when she was happy. I have pictures of her with her tail high and proud. Her tail never goes up now, it's always down. She seems unhappy. She doesn't seem to be in pain except that she walks more daintily than usual there's a roundness in her back that was never there before. Like a hunchback.She has little sores on her head that come and go. The vet thought it might be a flea allergy, but without giving her a very expensive allergy test, we don't know for certain.I feed both my cats the highest quality diet there is. Weruva brand with raw chicken parts from Lotus brand.Mooka seems ok in general, but I'm concerned about her significant weightloss and the no more happy tail. I miss seeing her feeling good. I do not have another $500 for the vet. We did blood tests only no xrays, but the vet advised against xrays because Mooka seems to have no pain.Do you have any idea what could be wrong with my cat?I love her so much. I want her to feel good again Thank you for your help.

Problem w/ cat vet...?
I took my cat to a vet not his original vet for a sore on his belly. It was red, irritated, w hair loss. No bumps, no pus, no blood. Just irritated from his constant licking and biting guess it was itchy. The 'vet' just 'looked at it' didn't physically examine it, nor ask questions if his daily behavior has changed i.e. eating, playing, balance, character . He just said, " it looks like skin cancer...need a biopsy, and surgery right away." NO WAY did I believe him Told this jerk I want to treat it as an allergy first w amoxicillin and medicated cream. Three weeks later, it has healed A bit red yet, but hair grew back, he's not itching it anymore, and I'm still applying the anamax ointment till it all clears. Does anyone know who I can complain to about this incompetent vet who should NOT be treating animals. Giving the appearance he just wants money and does not CARE about people's pets I am outraged about this jerk of a vet. And want to make a formal complaint. But who to?????
10 year old cat Vet Check-up?
Alright, I just want everyone to know that I don't need a lecture. I'm well aware of how long it's been since this cat has seen a veterinarian. Thankfully, there have not been any incidents where he needed to see a vet. I do not believe in over vaccinating him, because he is strictly indoors hardly leaves my room . I have a 10 year old Neuter male, De Clawed in the Front Not my choice , who hasn't seen a veterinarian since he got his initial shots, neuter, and de clawing when he was a kitten. I was only in first grade when I got him, so I did not know much of de clawing, veterinary care, etc. That was the last time he was at a veterinarian. However, as he's aging I've become more interested in his health and so on. All of my other animals see a veterinarian regularly, for some reason this one just hasn't. I have a Labrador, rescued Bulldog, and a three legged rescue kitten . I'm taking my 10 year old male in for a check up, to run needed tests done on older cats and because his breathing has suddenly changed. He is FIV , and now whenever he sleeps Most if not all of the day his breathing 'whistles'. This has become more and more noticeable. It's not a wheeze, not a URI, and it certainly doesn't seem to be causing him any discomfort. It just is getting louder, and more common. So the big question now that you have the 'low down' What can I expect to be done at a check up for a FIV 10 year old neutered male who hasn't seen a Vet in 9 years? As for the breathing thing any ideas what tests they will run? I just want to be prepared for everything when I take him in. We all know he's going to be a very grumpy old man having to leave his bed and go get jabbed with needles. Thank you. Sorry if I babbled too much.The appointment with the veterinarian is all set up. They are aware that he hasn't been vaccinated in 9 years. Thank you though, you're being very helpful. I'm just trying to get ideas as to what sort of blood work, xrays, etc. Will be done so I can get the money together. He has his phases. Usually around 10 11PM, he runs around the house like a spaz chasing my younger cat, who happens to have three legs. He acts healthy and happy but then when he sleeps. Not only is it annoying, but I just feel awful. Although, I'm not fully sure that he's aware of himself making whistling noises. Almost like snoring but different . I live in Massachusetts, if this is any help. Any idea of the total cost w blood work, etc. I can expect to pay? I'm putting all of my birthday money towards this. Classy, huh? . Do you suspect it will be more than $500? My dog's last check up w out vaccinations was I believe $30 40. Again, thank you for all of this help. He's my baby, and I love him to death. It just hasn't exactly been my decision whether or not he goes to the vet. Mom calls the shots, you know? I pay for all the pet food though, and the majority of vet bills. I need help with my pregnant cat!!! (vet or very experienced cat owner perfered please)?
ok, i have a cat the size of a like 10 month old kitten but shes a little over a year, she got pregnant and im worried about her.. will she be ok? and another thing, she has horrible fleas and works, will flea spray or round worm medicine affect her or her kittens? the can of flea spray said consult a vet, but the vet said nothing. someone please help me with these 3 questions, her pregnancy scares me.to answer amber, no i didnt let her. my male cat did when we didnt know. and even when thya are born none of my cats ever have, or will be homeless. and for the other answer thank you very much. the vet said shes allergic to fleas? so we have this spray we always spray on her. and yes i ment her size, shes very small and it worries meto the last question, thank you very much again,. i dont know what kind of worms she has i dont know how to figure out. and we just realized she was pregnant because she is now showing, but through the rest of the pregnancy she has been being treated regularly so i don tknow what to do the vet we went to is useless
I just neutered my cat, vet didn't give me a "cone"?
he just peed and he licked his legs i stopped him from licking the " surgery area" he also keeps walking around but he's asleep nowwhat will happen if he cleans it? do i have to make my own " cone" ?
Corn snake severely attacked by cat, vet not open until tomorrow, any suggestions?
I just picked up a snow corn snake from a lady who says she found it in her neighbors pool. It looks as if it has been attacked by a cat, from the cloaca down it's just exposed bone, and skeletal structure. It has other wounds on it.I gave it an antibiotic shot I'd gotten from my vet for another snake, and I adjusted the dose. Now I'm wondering if there is anything i can do in the mean time? This little guy wants to live, The vets office won't be open until tomorrow, I don't even know if he she can be saved? but i'm willing to try.there is massive swelling in the tail end, and he's not moving that part, but he he is moving around, drinking water, and is not aggressive when held. Obviously i'm trying not to handle him as much as possible, but any advice would help. thank you,Holly
What is the best/healthiest kind of cat food for my cat (vet recommended)?
And also what is the worst kind? I will be getting a cat soon and I want to know what is the best food I can feed him that a vet would recommend and what brands should I avoid.Also should I feed him dry food or canned food?
