Question: What makes cats love cat-treats so much?

My cats flip out as soon as they hear the little plastic pouch crinkling. I know they are full of animal byproducts and whatnot, but what is it that makes so much better that regular catfood? Is it some sort of chemical?

It is like us looving donuts they dont get to eat it that much like they are used to the old same thing (cat food) and they get that new cat treat.

Some cat treats contain a lot of fat and a lot of salt, both of which are things cats like and seek out. That's also why you should limit how many "treats " your cat eats. We shouldn't eat nothing but cheesecake, and they shouldn't eat nothing but cat treats. Not all cats like them, though. I had one large, healthy cat who didn't like those cat "treats " at all. If I wanted to reward him, I gave him a little of his regular cat food, because that was all he wanted to eat.

Yup cat treats are filled with fat & fillers. Its like their form of potatoe chips. I give my cat treats but i also give them a bit of canned tuna or canned salmon as a treat too so they have variety.

My cats don't like the soft treats. They only like the crunchy ones.

Cats love getting attention, and little treats are also a kind of attention.
