Question about rotting cat teeth falling out???? :(?
i took in a stray awhile ago, and noticed her jaw is kinda rotted and she doesntt have many teeth, when she eats she will drool a lot, i feel like she has a hard time, but she has been alive with this for awhile. what do i do? how could i fix it if the teeth are falling out? how much would it cost to get fixed?what would they do put in new teeth?

My older cat has some too, but about the amount that would be expected for a 6 7 year old cat.Vet told me " kudos" if I can get them to tolerate a toothbrush.I have no problems getting the dog to tolerate dental care.. cats are another story.they are already on dry food. We almost never feed canned food. None of them will really eat canned food anyways, they only lick the gravy out of it.Most of my cats were obtained as adults, so did not have that chance to start with the toothbrush at kittenhood.

Hi,I recently have concerns about my cats mild tartar buildup near his gum line on his teeth. He is two year old male bengal and I had doubts putting him under anaesthetic but I had taken him to see the nurse at the vets for some advice.The nurse wasn't interested about his gums and teeth, her main concern was to try and sell me her cat food. Anyway, to cut the story short, I have been brushing my cats teeth for a about a month now, I have heard peopel telling me that you could get rid of plague using some tools at home Which I haven't done .Today, whilst I was brushing my cats teeth, the plaugue have fallen off on left side of his teeth the bits were hard so i could tell they were plaque. Looks like I have weakened the plague alittle by brushing over the plaque and wekening them for some time I am so pleased Just wanted to share this with you. I am going to see for a few more weeks then going to take my cat to the vets for further check ups.

My cat escaped and was outside for two months and we finally caught him and brought him home. We took him to the vet before integrating him with our other cats and they gave him antibiotics. She also said he should come in for a teeth cleaning because his gums were infected and smelled. I think the antibiotics are helping clear that up for my poor little guy and I don't want to put him through anything he doesn't have to with an extraction of his teeth. He lost one big front tooth on his two month adventure. Is a cat teeth cleaning necessary? He is 9 years old.

So Right now I'm saving money to get my cats teeth examined by a professional so then she can get her teeth cleaned. Ive noticed my cats breath was bad for awhile so we bought plaque attack dental spray and I've been brushing her teeth with Pet Dental toothpaste. Usually I brush my cats teeth every night or every other night. What I've noticed is that after my cat eats the food sticks to the upper side of her teeth and Gums and it causes her Dental problems. She eats the hard food. Her Gums are red just around the teeth area and the teeth way in the back are kind of yellow to brown. But since I've been brushing them they are getting lighter and lighter but the gums are still red and back teeth are still brown. My mom and I have to hold my cat down so I can get in there and brush her teeth and after that we have been irrigating her mouth with a mild sea salt solution my mom puts together. We're very careful and Gentle with her. Then and hour later I spray my cats teeth with the Plaque attack. I just want to know if what we're doing is going to benefit my cats oral Health?I don't have a Vet yet
