Ideas to stop cat scratching leather couch?
I have spend hundreds of dollars on scratching posts and she has no interest in them. Is there something I can spray on the couch?Thankfully declawing is illegal in my country so it's not an option and I'd never do it either . She HATES her front paws being touched and she gets really distressed and vicious when the vet clips her nails so we don't do it anymore.Any ideas to discourage her that will not harm her?

My cat scratches her neck/head when I pet her?
when i approach my kitten she sometimes goes to lay on her side, and when i try to pet her she'll have one of her back legs scratch her neck or the side of her head. It happens randomly, and sometimes when i am reaching my hand out to pet her not even touching her she moves her leg to scratch her neck. why? its a bit odd, i've had 3 cats before and none of them ever did anything like that. i think its just a quirk of hers, but im not sure.

How to deal with cat scratches on couch?
We have a $600 leather couch that our cat has gotten to. She has only scratched under the arm of the couch in the corner area. We were thinking of putting some type of wood on the front and side, but don't really know how. Any suggestions? We would like it to look like the couch was supposed to be that way. How would we get the wood pieces to stay on the couch without screws? I don't want them to be showing.Thanks We have tried a spray to keep the cats from scratching and she doesn't care. My boyfriend wants to make a post for them, but more of a jungle gym post thing. She has a floor scratching post and doesn't always scratch it. My couch is ruined already and I like the leather because it's cold, I don't want to cover it.

I was feeding her laying on my side and my cat jumped up on her and I pushed him off and he clawed Herr face trying not to fall. My cat jumped on her when she was first born and stoped now the other cats been doing it. They have been craving so much attention lately and idk what to do. I try to set aside time for them but its like the more I give the more they want.
