Is it ok to use a second hand cat scratching post with kittens who have not yet had their vaccinations?
We have been given a post by someone, but we are not sure whether to let the kittens use it as they are not yet vaccinated. Is there any chance of them catching anything from the cat that has previously used the post?

Cat scratching post question!!!?
Hello, I bought a scratching mat not post for my cat female 1yr and sprinkled cat nip on it. The cat doesn't use the scratching mat at all and when I put cat nip on top of it, it just simply sniffs it and walks off. Its also weird that she doesn't really find cat nip appealing. Could anyone give me some suggestions on how I could get my cat to use the scratching mat instead of the sofa and a possible reason why shes doesn't really like catnip? I bought a cat sratching post todayhow do i get them to use it.one of the kittens will pat the toys and really enjoys that but how to i get the cat ahnd other kittens to sit in it, play and scratch it.without using cat nip. the mother is allergic to itthe only thing my cat enjoys is her kittens and she scratches my furniture..the kittens are fine now with it.

I want to make my 2 adult cats and 2 new kittens something they can all play on together. I know I can easily create some kitty furniture with some 2 by 4's, cheap board, carpet, and rope but I was wondering if anyone has had a lot of success with any certain design or layout? And if you by chance know the dimensions or have a picture of it? Thank you I already have a smaller cat furniture toy, and my cats love it, I just want a bigger one. I KNOW MY cats will play on it. Please give me a model... Not just suggestions of high places... i know they like that.
