Ever since my Dad brought a baby MALE cat to the house all hell has broke loose Now that cat has grown up. We have a total of 6 cats and 4 dogs. I raised a cat since 2004, Fil, ever since our last cat died, I LOVE him he is my entire world I had to give him milk when he was a baby I saw him grew up. However this new cat, Waldo, and him have fought since 2009, all day and nights if they meet. We have to keep both away from each other...but my dad's beloved dog hates Fil with burning passion and makes the others bark at him all the time or chase him...we haven't been able to stop the chasing, one of our cats got tired of the chase and ran away...the a car killed her.I dont know what to do anymore. I'm desperate The problem between the 2 cats won't stop And Fil is the one who start the troubles most of the time, arms, legs, and especially my right hand are filled with his bites. People start to think I'm some drug user My dad is considering of putting him to sleep...But that would break my entire world He is not evil.I love him...but I don't know what to do...there don't exist experts on cats or pet therapists in this country My poor Fil...Someone answer me PLEASE HELP ME Fil was the ALPHA cat in the houseBOTH CATS HAVE BEEN FIXED, ALL CATS IN THE HOUSE HAVE, ALSO DOGSFil is 6 years old and Waldo not even one year old...THERE ARE NO EXPERTS IN THIS COUNTRY, I'VE CHECKThe claws are not the problem, he prefers to bitewe do not believe in cages...we consider it cruel...

New cat problems.. Any ways to bond, get to now her, find out how she's feeling?
I just got a new cat and i'm not exactly sure what to do. I used to have a male cat named Jackson, he was calm, layed back, yet very playful and happy. He purred and was very roomy. I loved him so much. I just bought a new cat today, she is very curious and hides. It takes a lot to make her purr and she doesn't like to play. She's only 1 years old so I really don't understand why she's acting this way. I mean yeah, she's new, but is something wrong? And is there ways that I can bond with her or tell when it's getting to be too much for her?

Help: Momma cat problems?
Please help, I'm very concerned about my cat.1 She recently had kittens and she really likes going 2 in the bathtub now, its really gross. I was thinking she doesn't want to get any litter on the kittens by accident. Is this normal? 2 She is barely eating and when she does she eats really fast, the food she leaves over she tries to cover up like how cats normally do in their litter boxes.3 She has gotten really thin after giving birth.4 Sometimes she goes nuts jumping, running around and leaves the kittens alone.Any info helps

I am having cat problems.?
My cat keeps on meowing in the apartment so I spray him with a water bottle to stop him because we already got complaints. But when I spray him he stops but 5 minutes later he starts again. Also he jumps on the kitchen table, and put his claws through my couch. So again I spray him he stops then right away he starts again. So what else is there to do?

Help im having cat problems?
the first time my cat got out by accident he came back like an hour later and now he hides in the closet. so when someone opens the door he runs. I ve followed him when he runs outside and i know he wants to go outside alot during nightime because he has a cat mafia group hehe . But its not safe out there and its getting colder and everytime he goes out and comes back we have to put tick medicine anyway everyday he goes to the door and meows his head off i want him to stop so he wont lose his voice im glad he's talking but he moews every minute. Weve been thinking of getting a cat his age so he could play with another cat but we dont have the money to support another cat with the price of food and everything. so help its getting so annoying and ive tried distracting him with toys but it only works for about an hour and he's back to the door

Toilet training (Human Toilet) Cat Problems?
I got 2 house cats from the cat and dog home in July female 2 years old and a male 1 year old they both came from the same home and I believe they are related.I believe the female to be quiet intelligent and the male seems to be pretty slow mentally at certain things. I live in a flat and they can't come in or out so I have been training them to use the human toilet I'm not kidding before anyone asks, there are tons of videos etc. on youtube and boks etc about the subject Basically I sat their litter tray next to the toilet then raised it up a few inches every day until it was level with the toilet,Every time they go I would give them a cat treat that they love and lots of affection. I then moved it on top of the toilet, then once they were used to that I took away the littter tray and replaced it with a salad bowl sat inhe toilet with litter which was gradually reduced until there was no litter left and I put a little bit of water in. Until this point they did really well but wouldn't take to the water being there, I went back afew steps by adding litter and reducing again afew times but they never could over come the bit about the water. So I changed tactic and have now been using an aluminium baking tray with a hole cut in the middle and litter around the edge. Everytime both of them have done a number 1 and 2 I open the hole up a cm or 2 more. The end result should be eventually they tray is opened up completely and then removed as they now don't care about the tray as they realise going directly into the toilet isn't a problem and voila they are toilet trained. The boy has been doing really well with this method and I believe that he is now more or less toilet trained and if I were to remove the aluminium tray that he would use the toilet no problem. However for the past 2 months the female has got upto a level where the tray consists of only a fine rim of about 2 4cm around the edge but then she has started doing number 2 on the floor beside the toilet. She still does a pee no problem at that level but it's as if she gets to a point then flat out refuses to do a number 2 in the toilet. I have moved back a few steps and started with a smaller hole again and reopened it slower afew times, but we still get to a point that she refuses to do a number 2 but will still do a number 1 no problem.I have noticed that sometimes when she is up ready to go on the toilet the boy will chase her down and I wonder if this is maybe causing her to panic and go beside the toilet or maybe she is hiding from him to do the toilet.Does anyone have any tips or experience that could help. I feel like I am frustratingly close to my end result but can't seem to get over this last hurdle. Is it just a case of perseverance?Serious answers only please. I know thius sounds like a wind up or a joke but I am very serious and aparently ever cat can be toilet trained with enough time spent. Thanks for the info guys.I don't think giving them treats causes a problem. I don't mind them going often and I don't think they go particularly often.I will try to stop the boy cat from going anywhere near her whilst she is in the toilet. What is UTI? All of the information I had read before embarking on this said there shouldn't be any health issues caused. If there is a chance of them getting unwell I'll stop doing it. Why do you need to check the males urine?

Cat problem with mother and daughter cat!?
Okay so I have 2 cats. A mother cat and a daughter. The mother cat absolutely HATES her daughter She constantly hisses and growls at the daughter and sometimes claws her. For example i feed the cats. The mother cat was eating alone until the daughter jumped in and just sat there watching her eat, she goes to take a bite of the food and mother claws her after growling and hissing. The mood for the mother cat is now destroyed and is nasty to everyone else. This has been going on for about 2 years and never happened a few months after birth. What should I do? The baby is about 2 years and 6 months old. She can't stand the sight of her daughter and is really getting old. What should I do and what's wrong?

I have 2 cats that i got a the same time and are only two days age difference i have had them for about 2 years going on 3 and recently one of my cats has stared to poop on the furniture the vet said there was nothing medically wrong and that it might be the other cat attacking her so we got another litter box put it in a different location the the other ones only showed the one cat where it is and things didnt change we tried sprays tinfoil and everything else we could think of is there anything the i could do besides moving my cat to another building which is an option.

Cat Problems with the Neighbours...?
I have 2 cats, one is 1 year old and the other is 2 and a half. Our neighbour also has a cat. They all get along fine. But there's two things wrong, I believe her house is infested with fleas, and she keeps giving my cats different food, making them ill. I have changed my cat food to dry complete and am buying the most expensive Flea Killer for my cats, yet I still keep getting fleas in the house. My older cat is always spending time there...sometimes he'll be at her house all day. What can I do to stop all this, the fleas, the sickness, how long he's there. I got up this morning and literally had a bath full of cat s t where my cat goes if he's unwell , after spending all day yesterday at her house. She feeds different foods to her cat and if he doesn't like it, she gives it to mine. Someone please help me because its really getting me down and I feel like they're not my cats anymore.I've actually mentioned about the food to her, Don't know for sure if she paid attention. As for the fleas, they dont seem to bothered about them, but I think my blood attracts them onto me. I spend nights itching and picking fleas off. In the mornings, I will go in the bath and there'll be loads of them floating around. Its driving me insane, and I cant really say anything to her, like " stop them going in your house" because she's a nice person and helps us out when we go on holiday etc. Her house is just filthy.Plus my cats don't have a litter tray anymore, I trained them into going outside for the toilet.

Cat Problems, Need help fast ):?
So, a while back my Cat was having a lot of urinary problems. She was going to the litter tray more often than usual without passing urine. She was also going to the toilet outside the litter box which is very unusual for her. She is a indoor Cat and has been since she was very young and she is toilet trained. We also noticed blood in her urine and a lot of straining. We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Cystitis. She has injections and that was it. Since then she has been having short bursts of it every so often. We took her to the vet again and they did the same thing. I really want the bursts of Cystitis to stop once and for all. I do know thought that Cystitis can be a lifelong thing. So I was looking online to see home remedies we can do to prevent it. I came across Cystease. They are tablets you give cats then have urinary problems especially Cystitis. The only problem is that my Cat Gracie can not take pills at all She has had antibiotics before because of the Cystitis and it took about an hour for her to take it and swallow it. I was worried that if i buy the tablets for her to take every day for her Cystitis then it will be taking up alot of time. What I'm asking for is...1. Has your cat ever had Cystitis, If so did you do anything about it that worked?2. How do you get your cat to take Tablets?3. Also, please tell me if you have any other remedies I can try to stop the Cystitis as it's causing not only Gracie alot of stress and pain but it's making me stressed for her too. Thanks in Advance. Best Advance will be chosen

I Have A Cat Problem!!!!?
Recently, both my cats have started pooping where ever they want. I've been looking on yahoo answers, and it says its because the litter tray isn't clean. This is not true, as they have a litter tray each, which I clean 3 4 times a week. They both seem to wee in it, but refuse to poo in it, and they just go anywhere... It's making it hard for me What seems to be the problem? They're female cats. There is ALWAYS dry food down, and feed them a packet of wet food a day as well. They're getting the correct amount of food a day.

Cat problem when using litter tray?
I have two cats one I've had since a kitten male 4 this year and a new member of the family who is female around 5 years .The newest member is the one I'm having a problem with. I've had her for around 10 months now, when she uses the litter tray she starts off by squatting then half way through and still weeing she begins to raise her bottom in the air and proceeds to wee over the litter tray and up the wall depending on how close the tray is to the wall.I had an enclosed litter tray but took the roof off as my cat the male wouldn't use it as much with it on, i noticed when she would use this she would just stand inside the tray and wee causing wee to go over the side of the tray, So i found the top part of the litter tray out of the shed and attached it back on, however wee would still get through the gap at the joints and go on the floor. When i got her i got another litter tray which was smaller and has lower side, the new i put in the entry and noticed when she used that she would squat and wee more or less properly though still come close to going over the edge sometimes. So I thought maybe the sides were too high on the enclosed litter tray so swapped them over as the one in the kitchen area got used the most. Then i noticed if the tray was too close to the wall she would go over the side, so i moved it away from the wall and she stopped having as many accidents, i then brought another tray to replace the large one enclosed tray as she would still use that sometimes and kept making a mess. She has been weeing fine though having the odd mishap every now and then but i put that down to her either being startled as she is a nervous cat or if someone has moved the tray closer to the wall. For the past 2 weeks though she has done it about 4 times that i know to, My brother has just come to visit over this period so i don't know if him being around has made her more nervous. The one i brought to replace the enclosed tray is classed as a large tray though is smaller than the one in the kitchen so i have swapped them over and am waiting for her to use it.Has anyone had this problem with their cat?Jaded Ruby Thanks for the response, the type of tray you suggest is exactly the type the first tray was she was using, the trouble is with that tray she just didn't squat at all and would just stand there and it would just go over the side, at least with the lower ones she does make the effort and squat its just that half way through she starts to stand up. so i end up with half of her wee in the litter tray and half across the floor.Bena Q Thanks, i did try putting a liner in the enclosed litter trey and it also has locks going around it but wee would still seep out and go on the floor. At the moment the tray i swapped it with the smallest of the three i have has worked touch wood . However if she does start to do it again on a regular basis i will get the enclosed tray back out and put another tray underneath as you have suggested.I'll have to clean the tray catching the wee but it'll be better than wee going up the wall and across the floor. I tried putting news paper down previously but i didn't like the fact that wee was still going on the floor and it didn't feel like the problem was getting solved, a tray underneath is a good idea that will keep the wee off the floor and i can keep it clean easily so thanks allot.I just find it strange that she will squat for the the most part in small litter trays but won't in trays with high sides going round.
