Old cat not eating and seems sick?
I'm home from college for the weekend and my 16 year old female cat has stopped eating and has gotten really thin. She can barely walk and does not drink much either. I'm wondering if I should take her to the vet or just assume that its " her time to go" like everyone else has told me.

Why is my cat not eating..?? What am i doing wrong?
I've been feeding my cat as usual and all of a sudden she just hasn't been eating..?? She's not eating the Friskies I'm giving her nor is she eating those little green cans either..the gourmet stuff.....she picks at the Fancy Feast, but she is not eating...I just don't know what to do? Cat food is expensive..? What am I doing wrong? I'm reallly at wits end here..???? She'll pick here and there and lick the juices and then walk away and cry to me...I just don't get it..she has dry food too...and milk sometimes but mostly I give her water.. What can I do to make her eat..????

my cat just had her Kitty's and i dont see her eating as much as i thought i bought her iams kitten food n can food also. What else should I do to make sure that is has enough milk for her Kitty's?

Why is my cat not eating or drinking?
I took my cat to the vet yesterday because he had trown up 7 times before I got to the vet. First time the colour was light brown ish and the other times it was white. He'd been on medisin for seven days taking antibiotics. At the vet he was proven reletively healthy after some blood work, x ray and ultra sound. Only thing was that he looked a little put out of place. He hardly purred all day, even though I spent time cuddling with him, and this day it was ok. The next day it was not.It was like night and day. My cat, the most cuddly, happy, smily cat I know who demands a cuddle from you when you are very busy. He who drools all over you because he can't controll he's sliver when he's cuddling. It was him who today who didn't pure at all when you cuddle with him, instead he moaned either of pain or out of " I don't care for such thing right now" . Lifting him up was usually a breeze, now he moans " put me down" or " I am in pain" .And Last, he has not eaten since the day before yesterday. I even offered him his favorite wet food which he eats like candy, but he doesn't want it. He has nausea, and won't eat or drink. He wan't to hide away, not cuddle.I tried to put pieces of food right on his tongue, taking his head up forcing him to swallow. He protested loudly and scratched me on purpose which he has never done before. He doesn't bite, but he only scratch when he tried to hold on to me when I lift him up normally afraid to fall down I guess, but other times, like when I give him his medicin he gives me his warning paw with outstretched claws just letting me feel them but never intentionally giving me a scratch.I'm so scared for my cats life. He's 6 years old and a mixed breed. and up here they are not considered old untill they've passed 15. I did infact feed him with water on a teaspoon, that went alot better and he drunk up whatever did not run out of his mouth.The vet also gave me this " biola ish" thing which helps the tummy, and I got this food thing specially ment for sensitive tummies. But the problem is still, he wont eat it He gets the biola thing with a little hard work.And the antibiotics are for the mushroominfection in his ears.Hopefully I've proved enough information for some of you to take this seriously and get a pin point on what it could be.He did not get anaesthetic when he took an x ray and ultra sound. He's is normally a very calm and gentle cat. And he was even calmer yesterday. He did infact get an anaesthetic a week ago, but he was tiptop again when it had gone out of his system. The reason I know it because My cat wasn't sleeping after it had been taking the xray and ultra sound, and here at the vet they take money for every single thing they do, and anaesthetic cost me last time 142 in dollars. I doubt they forgot, put him to sleep and woke him up again which would probably cost me additional .

2 month cat not eating a lot?
I just got a 2 month siamese cat from the animal shelter. She is VERY loving and affectionate but she eats very little I'd say about 10 small pieces of dry food a day . She seems to be drinking water OK, and she plays with her toys. I tried wet food, dry food, deli turkey and beef. I took her to the vet and the vet said she was fine, no worms in her stool, no feline leukemia, just a healthy little kitten but I'm still worried .I wonder if she could be stressed? I brought her to my parents home a week ago still was a stingy eater then moved her to my apartment yesterday. Shes been in my apartment for two days still not eating . Should I take her back to the vet? Thank you for your help

Cat not eating, but is still drinking.?
First off we are going to take him to the vet as soon as we're able to. We're still recovering from having a tumour removed from our dog a couple weeks ago.For the last couple of days my cat has been eating little to no food, and has already lost a couple pounds he's always been a thin cat, but we've never been able to feel his ribs the way we feel them now . He is still drinking water, and using his litter box. We've switched to wet food, and he does take up the liquid, sometimes. I do notice that if he accidentally grabs a chunk from the food and on occasion, when he drinks , he flinches and or I hear some scrapping or crunching when he bites down. He's also been sleeping a lot...nothing too secluded though at the foot of my moms bed , and the sleeping a lot during winter is nothing new for him.He's about 11 or 12. Mother was a calico, not sure on the father, and he was a the only kitten born from his " litter" mother had three batches like that, he was the last before we managed to get her fixed . When he was neutered, he did have to have an extra procedure to put his testicles on his outside, which is probably why he never gained weight, but apart from that he's been a healthy cat.I do suspect his teeth gums are red, and teeth a yellow , but I just wanted to maybe get I few more ideas. Though, if it is just his teeth, and the vet says they're extremely bad, is there a chance the vet will recommend putting him down. And how much does it cost to have one to all of his canines removed, average? live in Ontario, Canada, near the GTA Thx.

Cat not eating already brought to vet?
My cat stopped eating a lil over a wk ago i brought her to the vet monday they tested her organs and they are all working good the vet put her on clavamox on Wednesday i brought her back to the vet bc she was still not eating or drinking they took her off the clavamox and did full blood work which also came back very good i started feeding her with a syringe Wednesday night she is taking the food well but still wont eat on her own she is very weak and just lays around she is not hiding and still loves attention does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be or what step i should take nextToday i brought her back to the vet she lost more weight, has a heart murmur and they believe she has cancer. They said she will not live much longer and to consider having her put down. Very sad day she has been with me for 12 1 2 yrs thank you all for your answers.

Cat not eating much or drinking much. what's going on?
We have already called the vet and her main concern was a blockage. We boarded our 7 y.o. male cat up last night, gave him stinky wet food, normal food, water and his own litter box. We are pleased to find that he peed normal and pooped normal as well. So now the question remains, what's next? What do you think it is?

Lethargic cat, not eating, sleeping a lot. Anything to do with snow? (10 points best answer)?
Our 2 year old cat is usually a very active little thing, but yesterday she has slowed down, doesn't appear to be eating and is sleeping a lot. Usually she would bound into the house but she slowly walked in today. She was alright yesterday morning but it started not long after it began to snow. She has also eaten some meat that she stole out the bin that had gone off so we are wondering if that could have anything to do with it. We called the vets and they said to give her some chicken, take away her other food but keep the water, watch her for 24 hours and if she isn't better take her to the vets. I'm worried because my mum stupidly never got her inoculated for feline leukemia, she was told that it was only for outdoor cats but our cat goes out sometimes and prefers outside as a litter tray. She has had all of her other inoculations, is microchipped, spayed and is de flead and de wormed regularly. Also we are getting our new kitten on Monday and I'm worried that if it is something infectious that the little kitten who is only about 6 or 7 weeks may get it. I am nearly 100% sure its not feline leukemia but there is always a chance.

Cat not eating HELP!!!!?
so we have a cat and he used to love wet cat food but then we went on vacation and left him a tub of dry food and since we got back he would only eat the dry food now he wont eat any food what can i do to get him to eat again hes lost so much weight.

Cat not eating enough and fussy eater?
I have a rescued 1yr old female American Shorthair cat she is spayed & up to date on her shots . She seems to be a picky eater & doesn't eat enough? We feed her canned food, she does not like dry kibble at all. She seems to prefer a varied diet eg. seafood canned food one day, chicken canned food the next etc. ...maybe because prior to adopting her from the street, she used to eat birds.She is lean, but not skinny & is healthy uses litter box fine, extremely playful, alert, bright eyes, coat is nice & smooth . We feed her half a can in the morning, then the other half in the afternoon. We don't do free feeding because we always keep our animals on feeding schedules. Sometimes she won't eat her food, but will beg for me to give her my food...which I don't do because she gets spoiled very easily. The next day she'll eat her food though.Any suggestions as to how to encourage her to eat more of HER food and not begging for our food?Please no mean comments, thanks...

Cory cats not eating?
Hi i just got 3 panda cory cats about two weeks ago. They looked fine but wouldnt eat there food.... They still will not eat there food i feed them sinking algae wafers. One just recently died of starvation... Another one just now was lying there still i thought he was dead but when i went to get the fish net to take him out and the net touched him he went crazy he was spiraling really fast... They will still not eat there food i am concerned how can i get them to eat??? I dont want them to die...
