We are cat lovers, have 8, all well, we look after feral cats which we feed. two of our kittens which started?
to sneeze, took them for their jabs, they are ok. but the feral cat looks she might be expecting kit's, sleeps in our outside toilet, won't allow us to approach her. she is the one who is loosing fur. There were a couple of other feral's, but seems might have succumb to cat flue. only Tom who we managed to catch is the only feral which has been injected against cat flue, this was done 6 years back, and is fine. It's the loss of fur which worries us..... many thank's Danny. davies.danny28 yahoo, com
Advice from cat lovers/long term "owners"...?
How do you ascertain when you are ready to accept new friends cats into your home after the loss of 3 long time cats within the span of a year and a half? I lost my beloved 20 year old Jasmine, and then 18 year old Pye a year and a half later, and 3 months after that, 18 year old Bobby passed away as well. It has not quite been a year yet since Bobby's passing.I miss them all very much and still get very teary about them. I haven't brought anymore cats into my home because I do not believe that I am finished grieving for my " babies" yet and TBH, I am fearful of the pain of going through more loss. I fear that I may not be able to attach to new cats although I doubt it knowing how much I love animals and I just want to be a responsible " owner" .I am wondering if anyone else is able to share some advice regarding their own experiences and how they knew when they were ready....I miss the animal companionship but just want to do the right thing for the animal s not be selfish and just serve my own interests. Thanks in advance.
Should I adopt a kitten? calling all cat lovers and haters.?
Heres the deal.I'm in school, year 11. I wanna get a kitten because I've always wanted a pet and they seem like the most suitable pet for me.Here are the questionsI know they scratch but on a scale of 1 to 10 how much does that scratching hurt?I live indoors in a high rise flat no balcony so theres no option of going outside my flat is an okay size is this okay? Theres no rats in my flat that I know of my cat wont start bringing back rats will they? Will the cat attract maggots etc eurgh ? Do they bite and on a scale of 1 to 10 how much do the bites hurt? I will want a dog when I'm older and living by myself should I just wait till then since cats and dogs dont always get along? What are your experiences with cats kittens?I know some questions may seem silly but they're just questions. I just want to be sure that I won't get any nasty suprises.

I need comments from cat lovers!?
I loved cats since I was born. I asked my mom to get me one from a shelter. But my mom said no. My mom thinks cats are not such a good pet. I need to show my mom that a lot of people love cats and that cats are not bad pets. Please leave only GOOD comments about cats
Hi there! Quick question for the cat lovers: How many kitties are TOO many kitties?
Yesterday, my kids and I were out in the yard clearing some dead leaves out of the pots where new buds are coming in, and out of nowhere, a little grey and cream tabby kitten struts up and starts mewling. He looks like he can be between 3 4 months old. I asked around the immediate vicinity, and no one said it was their cat. I already have two other kitties, but he was so precious, I think my heart over rode my head and I just went ahead and took him in...at least for now. I'm considering putting a Craigslist ad up about this found cat, but he is really a dear and the more I fall in love the more I am thinking of not doing that. LOL. Do you think 3 cats are too many? I've introduced new cats to resident cats before, so I got my two guys warmed up to him and vice verse. There is a lot of curiousity between them, a lot of sniffing, but so far, no fights. We have about a 2,300 sq ft. home and one box has been fine for my two guys, but I went out and got an extra box last night so there are no issues I hope . Just so you know, I bathed him, wormed him and kept him separate overnight. I just introduced him to my older cats this morning.Nah, he is definitely a 'he'. I'll put is this way, the kids have taken to calling him " Mr. Fuzzy Nuts"

Are there any cat lovers in the lonely world?
CAT LOVERS: How do I teach my kitten to drink from her bowl?
I have a cat called Alice. She gave birth to her first litter last year, with a cat called Shadow. We didn't nuder Shadow in time and she gave birth to her first litter of kittens 1 1 2 months ago.Two of the cats were born with problems with their eyes, with one of them clearly having difficulties with sight. It takes her longer to get around the house and she bumps into things every now and then. I've called her Bellatrix. With Shadow being a bit of a rogue, she fails to feed her kittens, so Alice steps in.However, Alice doesn't have any milk and I'm worried the kittens are growing thin.I have to constantly pull them away from Alice. Alice has recently been nuded and I think she's gone a bit odd since then . They continue to attempt to feed from her, which Alice doesn't understand isn't working and she tries to scoff milk from the bowl I give to the kittens, the fatty I'm happy the kittens are recognising the bowl of milk food when I give it to them, EXCEPT for Bellatrix. She runs back to Alice. How do I teach Alice that she can't feed them and help Bellatrix realise that if she wants food, she has to drink from the bowl that she probably can't see? She's such a runt, I already feel so sorry for her.ThanksI'm just gonna add in before I get anymore questions concerned with my treatment towards the cats. Although it's nice to hear from other animal lovers it's not neccessary...I'm not a cat breeder. All cats have now been desexed my house. I'm aware of the treatment cats recieve in regards to poor housing or no housing at all. This is the first lot of kittens this year. All previous kittens have gone to decent, loving homes. They're won't be any more.I don't feed them cows milk, they get given milk made for older kittens. I'm giving it to them early because they're not being fed properly....Bellatrix is the name of a death eater from Harry Potter. I gave it to her because she's black and cooky and I loved the movies
Cat lovers, will my cat be okay?
I have been meaning to get my kitten desexed for a while... 8 months ago she had a beautiful litter of kittens who went to safe and loving homes.. I took her to the vet and he told me she must have got out in between and gotten pregnant again. She is an indoor cat but she loves the outdoors and when she stands at the window and looks outside, it breaks my heart to keep her confined. He said to me if I desex her now I will be aborting the new litter. Not wanting to make such a decision, I said its ok I will bring her back in a week after she has them. 3 days ago she started spotting and I saw blood along with amniotic fluid come out of her. I assumed she was ready to give birth... but 3 days later and she was still spotting with no kittens coming out. She was eating and purring and I didnt think much of it, I thought labour is going to follow soon. She looked pale and weak today, it broke my heart. I rushed her to animal hospital because I began to get worried myself after feeling her tummy and sensing no movement. Long story short, my beautiful cat was rushed to have an emergency cesarean and while I was at it, I got her desexed immediately. I went back to pick her up an hour later, the kittens were aborted and her uterus was infected. The vet said if I hadn't brought her in sooner I could have lost her. I broke down in tears. She is now on a 24hour drip and was sleeping peacefully when I went to see her. I can not begin to express the pain I am feeling, I never thought I would ever be attached to an animal so much and feel great love towards anything really. So after this story, I guess my question is... will she be okay? will she make it through the night? Has anyone been in a similiar position? Please, any thought would help as I will obviously not be dozing off until I can see her first thing tomorrow morning.
Cat lovers discussion forum?
I'm looking for a discussion forum dedicated to cats and cat owners. Anyone know any?
Cat lovers, please lend me some knowledge?
i have 3 cats..i got them all at the same time and i have not changed residences since i got them 3 years ago..the last few days ive noticed urine on the floor, which was very weird because in 3 years none of them had EVER done anything outside of the litter box. last night, i caught one of the cats in the act..heres what he did and here is my question..he was standing straight up and his back legs were kind of shifting or shuffling as though he were backing up..but not moving his front legs..he proceeded to pee on the wall which he had backed into..didnt squat, just projectile urinating..very odd..my question is if anyone knows what this might indicate, i took him to the vet and theyre running his urine tonight but i cant quit worrying..they said it may be behavioral, as him marking his territory..but why would he do so after 3 years? at the same time i hope its not stones, crystals, or a urinary tract infection..i dont know,..please respond if you have any knowledge or experience with this sort of thing. thank you. ALL 3 CATS HAVE BEEN SPAYED AND NEUTERED HE DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE ANY PROBLEM URINATING, IN FACT WHEN I GOT HOME I PUT HIM IN THE BOX AND HE WENT JUST FINE..I DONT UNDERSTAND IT
