SICK STRAY CAT! cat lovers need your help please?
I've been feeding a stray since the summertime.I do not know how old he is. When he first started coming to see me, it appeared like he had an eye infection and a little congestion when he breathed. The eye got better. Now it is November. I didin't see him for a few days and when he appeared, his head was tilted to the right side, 1 eye is partially closed and his equilibirum is off. He'll walk fine and then stagger and stumble on right side only. Seems to have happened suddenly. Stairs are dangerous for him now. but he climbs my porch to wait for me. His appetite is good, but he is very sick. It is pitiful What can this be? An ear infection? A stroke? FIP?I have no money to take him to the vet & no one to borrow from. I asked my vet if they would see him, but they have no more funds for charitable care & all clinics in my area that offered free help have closed down. They told me if I brought him to the humane society they would euthanize him. If all he needs is medicine I can scrape enough by to get that. But what vet will give me meds w o an exam? It is cold and the ground is freezing. He's been sleeping in my garden.He cannot fight and is a target for predators. I cannot let him in the house. I have a healthy cat and not knowing what this stray has, they shouldn't be in contact.I am distraught over this poor cat and can't sleep. He may be suffering. What can I do?Thank for your help & compassion
Advice from cat lovers/long term "owners"...?
How do you ascertain when you are ready to accept new friends cats into your home after the loss of 3 long time cats within the span of a year and a half? I lost my beloved 20 year old Jasmine, and then 18 year old Pye a year and a half later, and 3 months after that, 18 year old Bobby passed away as well. It has not quite been a year yet since Bobby's passing.I miss them all very much and still get very teary about them. I haven't brought anymore cats into my home because I do not believe that I am finished grieving for my " babies" yet and TBH, I am fearful of the pain of going through more loss. I fear that I may not be able to attach to new cats although I doubt it knowing how much I love animals and I just want to be a responsible " owner" .I am wondering if anyone else is able to share some advice regarding their own experiences and how they knew when they were ready....I miss the animal companionship but just want to do the right thing for the animal s not be selfish and just serve my own interests. Thanks in advance.

Why are cat lovers so sensitive about cats?
I agree animal abuse is wrong but 90% of cases you animal adorers overreact a little. Pets evolved from wild animals and they have it in themselves to be able to take a hit. I'm not saying beat your cat, but just not to sissy it too much. I mean some people go nuts if you do as much as tease your cat a little, in a playful way of course.
We are cat lovers, have 8, all well, we look after feral cats which we feed. two of our kittens which started?
to sneeze, took them for their jabs, they are ok. but the feral cat looks she might be expecting kit's, sleeps in our outside toilet, won't allow us to approach her. she is the one who is loosing fur. There were a couple of other feral's, but seems might have succumb to cat flue. only Tom who we managed to catch is the only feral which has been injected against cat flue, this was done 6 years back, and is fine. Your personal opinion how do you feel about a cat being de clawed ?Okay you have an INDOOR cat , constantly scratching things up , sofa chair , etc And what about scratching you or others ? you have no other pets just the cat Do you feel it is inhumane ?ADD even if he she has a scratching pole .ADD Front claws only .ADD I am not trying to offend any one just asking personal thoughts I like all animals Cats included but i have 4 big dogs they also get along very well with them no chasing biting etc . Question for cat lovers who travel a lot?
I am going to be driving from Alabama to New Jersey with my husband and two cats in my husbands truck. How can I make the journey comfortable for my cats. any Hints will be appreciated.My cats have driven all over the USA in our motor home and do fine, they are secure and safe when ever with us. i just want hints to make sure they will be happy in the truck which is a large truck with plenty of room in the back seat The back seat folds up for litter box, water, food and their pet bed.
Have you ever come across a man who is a cat lover?
I must confess that I hadn't until a work colleague confessed that he has a penchant for persian's and has 3 at home. I think I speak for everyone when I say that their is something very strange about a man being a 'cat lover' and I have come to the conclusion there must be something wrong with him. Is this unusual or am I over reacting?
