Persian cat information needed.....?
I've grown up around persian cats all my life and now that I am looking to get my own I was wondering if anyone knows of some good books I can get to assist me in making sure I'm looking after them properly. I'm particularly fond of Chinchillas and Golden persians.As I said, I've grown up around these cats and I'm well aware of the grooming and many of the day to day necessities of persians but I would like an up to date book as a backup and wondered which one people recommend.
Pregnant feral cat information?
I have an outside cat she is stray but she is still my responsibility and she is pregnant. I live on the western side of Montana and were under a blizzard warning at noon its 930 am now . I do not want to let her back outside because of her pregnancy is probably drawing near the end though I'm not sure how far along she is. I was wondering if someone could give me some info on a cats pregnancy and labor so I can have a guess on when to expect her to give birth?She has become winier, her nipples are visible and I noticed they were engorged just today, and she refused to eat this morning. Are any of these important signs of labor late pregnancy?Sorry I'm so ill informed but none of my cats have given birth cause they are all fixed.

Elderly cat information?
I have a wonderful cat named Tuxedo but he has always been called Big . He is FIV positive he contracted the disease before there was a vaccine for it . Im concerned because his weight is steadily dropping. He feels so very thin. His mood is good and his appetite is healthy, but I am still concerned about him losing so much weight. His last check up about 4 months ago showed everything was fine with his bloodwork. I guess what I am wondering is if anyone has any good ideas on what I can feed him to boost his weight. Most of the senior feline diets are low in fat and high in fiber...and seem to add to his severe weight loss. He is my heart, and any advice is appreciated.Thanks for all your advice, guys. I have actually started giving him a bit more canned food lately, which he loves. His feces and urine are pretty normal, with no excessive trips or blood. What is Innova? I haven't heard of that one.
Nursing cat information!?
So my cat had kittens 2 days ago. yesterday we had to put her down due to serious seizures. iwe've been bottle feeding the cats and all that but i was wondering is there a way we could take a nursing cat from a shelter to feed the little kittens? if you know of any places please let me know.

What is the best site to go to for information on cat pregnancy? We have a pair of barn cats that have mated and I would like to know as much as possible about Momma's condition before she delivers the kittens sometime in August. The female had 5 litters with her previous owner and will be retired spayed from the kitten business after this litter for us....SCUMMY reported for harassment sending pictures of dead catsmisrepresentation had no intention of answering the question....

okay so im a teenager and i really need help. ive decided to adopt a kitten at the local animal shelter in the spring. im gonna let it grow up with my mom and i and give it a loving home. im thinking about maybe breeding the kittens in hope of giving them to a couple of family members and friends. thing is, i dont know when itd be safe for a cat to get pregnant. 1, 2 years? i dont know.. please dont ridicule me for this because im unsure wether i even want a boy or girl. even if i did decide to do this ide find them all great loving homes and i would assure their safety and happiness. please help me with this situation

Ok so Im more of a dog person but I moved in with some family members that have a 5 month old cat. I really dont know anything about cats or cat psychology. Shes a Siamese Persian mix. Why do cats do the things they do?Also I plan on getting a puppy in 1 3 months. This is my first time...and I got cutoff before I finished my question. I have been feeding the offspring of a stray.We caught mom and 3 siblings and found homes for them, but could notcatch the final one. Too smart. Sawothers caught, would not go in cage.For the next 12 18 months she had two litters which she would allow us to touch.I found a Second Chance home for all them. We finally captured the final catjust the other day. She's 2 years andobviously has colony cats following herwhen she was in heat. We got her inthe cage by tricking her in the garageand leaving her in there with food in thecage. She does not seem aggressiveto us. Just scared. Got her fixed broughther home and left her in the garage withthe door opened to our home. She willcome in and howl to get out on occassion. Is litter box trained. Only husband & I here. We are asking forhelp with next steps in socializing her ornot. She seems scared not mean. Any help, thanks
