Questions about cat enclosures?
I have 2 indoor outdoor cats and I am thinking of getting a cat enclosure since it is safer than letting them run loose. Do indoor outdoor cats adapt to these enclosures?Thank you...........
Outdoor cat enclosures?
I have an outdoor cat who currently is a yard cat on a ranch so she has free roam. I recently moved from the ranch to a trailer house in town with a small fenced in yard. I want to bring her but she can get out of the fence and neighboring dogs can get in to hurt her. Is there any sort of cat enclosure that will still allow her to be outside but safe from predators and safe from escaping the yard?
Whats your opinion on the cat enclosures?
please tell me your opinion on them.outside enclosures that are attached to the house so the cat can go outside but not be in danger.

How has a cat enclosure worked for you.?
I would love to let my 3 cats be outside more. I just am worried they might get ran over or eaten by a dog. I am seriously considering a cat enclosure, but I would like to know how well they have worked for your feline friends.
Building an outdoor cat enclosure?
So my husband and I would like to build an outdoor cat enclosure, we have 4 cats and possibly getting a savannah, but we are limited in several ways. 1. We are both military so we move a lot and we would like something that can be taken down and moved with us. 2. We live in a gated community and are limited in what we can do to our yards. It can't connect to the house and can only be done in the backyard within our fence. We looked into a few but I want something that can be enjoyed but also can be moved. Nothing too small.
Can someone tell me how to build a cat enclosure?
I have four indoor cats. I don't let them go outside because my neighbors don't like them, and because I'm worried about them getting lost or hurt outside we live close to high traffic intersection.I would like to build some sort of a safe enclosure for them that they can't dig or climb out of, so they can enjoy the outdoors on nice days without getting lost or hurt or annoying the neighbors. Does anybody have any ideas suggestions?
Outdoor cat enclosure?
im building my cats an outdoor enclosure and i would like it to be hard wire on the outside. im not looking for plastic or netting type material. i cant seem to find it anywhere? im thinking i just dont know what the wire fencing is called or im looking in the wrong place i want something kind of cheap but not as cheap as chicken wire because that rusts and breaks easily. if someone out there had built one of these enclosures before or knows where to find this wire, your help would be much appreciated P.S. the enclosure will be 10'x30'

Need ideas for an outdoor cat enclosure?
The owner of the house moving in and he s allergic to cats, since my mom cat take my cat for a couple of months, which I d rather keep him with me anyway, my new roomate and I have agreed the cats inside time can be confined to my room, I have the master bedroom and built a loft for my bed, its 300 s.f. And I can build an enclosure so he can have outside access, my kitty has no out door survival skills, indoors his whole life any ideas on something simple to build
Does anyone have a cat enclosure?
I have five cats. Four are female. One was spayed today, but the other three are not yet spayed and have been going into heat.My father wants to build them a cat enclosure. He wants to connect it to a basement window, pop the window out of it's frame and allow them to come and go as they please. He also wants to wait four months between spaying the other cats. I have no idea why I'm paying for their veterinary care, so it's not like money is an issue. He doesn't see any problem with letting cats in heat outside in the enclosure. " Because I'm a man's man, and everything I make is really sturdy." I don't mind the idea of a cat enclosure, provided it's sturdy. But I want it connected to a window that we can open and close, so that the cats are unable to go into the enclosure when we're sleeping or not home. I also want the next cat to be spayed a month from now, and the next a month after that, and so on. And I don't want the cats going outside at all until they're spayed, since we have tons of stray cats around here, and I'm sure ten or more male cats responding to a cat in heat could break down even a " man's man made super strong enclosure." We live on a busy road, so the cats have a pretty large chance of dying if they escape the enclosure.Do you think I'm overreacting? Or do you think I'm right and we should forgo the cat enclosure until all the cats are spayed? And if I'm right, how do I convince my father that this is a bad idea? They were supposed to be my cats, and I pay all the bills and clean out the litter, but my father keeps buying and giving them cheap cat treats in large quantities. I'm sure they're going to get fat. But my father is grossly obese, and doesn't think it's a problem. He thinks they're his cats, too, and that's okay with me, except when he starts insisting on doing stupid things. For the record I'm 24 not 12 , and I have a college degree and a full time job. But, yeah, I still live at home.
