Looking for cardboard cat carriers?
I work for a humane society and I am trying to find cheap cardboard cat carriers to send home with adopters instead of our good crates and hoping people bring them back, I have been looking all day and cannot find them in a big bundle anywhere. the cheapest I found was 12 for 30 dollars. Does anybody know of somewhere else. Any suggestions would be great.
Are there any tricks to getting your cats into the cat carriers?
I have to take my cats tonight for their rabies shots but I always have a hard time getting them into their carriers they stress out and scratch me. I've tried putting treats in the carrier and letting them venture in on their own. That did not work out to well either. Where I live it's very hot out today so I would like to not stress them out to much. How do you get your cats into their carriers?
Has anyone used bicycle cat carriers?
Its really nice weather today and I was thinking of attatching a cat carrier to the back of my bicycle and taking my cat out for a ride. Has anyone ever done this?? And how did your kitty react? Were they ok with riding around?
Are there any cat carriers that will fit onto a bike?
I have 2 cats and live in a village with no public transport. I do not have a car at the moment and need to take my cats to the vets for their annual injections. I usually cycle everywhere. Has anyone seen a device carrier that can be used on a mountain bike to transport my 2 cats to the nearest vet which is 4 miles away. No other way to get there until at least March when I get a new car.
Would it be mean to carry two cats in a soft-sided cat carrier for a very short period?
I have two cats, I am moving over 2,500 miles. I will have both cats in a medium sized crate while in the car. I have a 3 month old baby as well, so I don't want to have to carry him, plus two cat carriers. It would only be from my car to the hotel room. At least one will be drugged so he shouldn't care. The male cat is huge, 15 pounds, & the female is maybe 7 pounds.i1037.photobucket.com albums a458 jdelaney426 Neiko 1.jpgi1037.photobucket.com albums a458 jdelaney426 Kaia.jpgi1037.photobucket.com albums a458 jdelaney426 Kaianeiko.jpgThis is a long drive, so they will be contained in the crate while in the car. I am driving by myself, and I have my 3 month old baby, so they cannot be free. The female cat is great in the car, she has done this move many times. They would only be in the carrier for as long as it takes to get from the car into the hotel room. So I would guess no more than 10 minutes?
Cat carrier ideas? Patterns or self made?
I have 4 cats that I need to take to the vet for their shots. The problem is I need carriers for all of them and they have destroyed the cardboard carriers I bought for them last time I took them. Carriers at the stores are too expensive I'd like to make a carrier but can't find a pattern or does anyone have an idea as to what I could use to transport them. Any ideas?
Getting cats into a cat carrier without food?
There are two outdoor cats that have been coming to our house, which we've been taking of. One is an adult cat that must be a stray because he's so naturally friendly, and the other is a feral that we've handtamed pretty much since she left the mother to live on her own. Now that the kitten is domesticated and extremely friendly, we would like to take both cats inside before it starts getting cold, and make them permanent members of our family. I made an appointment with Save A Pet to have them spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and tested for illness, and of course I have to bring the cats in carriers. But here's the kicker, they can't eat after midnight. Any ideas on how to coax them in?

I found him outside a couple months ago and took him in with me, knowing he had no home to go to. Hes now mine and is my world.< 3I love him so much. Since I was the first to come in contact with him and 'rescue' him, if you will, he has developed an attachment to me as well, and im really the only one he feels comfortable around.he sleeps with me every night. main conflict. Minnie the cat has been peeing everywhere lately. Due to the fact that he needs neutered. So we made an appointment for him. it was today, 10 12 10, at 2 15. I was at school so my parents were going to take him to the appt. As I said before, I am the only one who he really feels comfortable around. So when my parents tried to pick him up and put him in the carrier, he went insane. They got him in it, but the cage was un able to hold him in so he got out. My dad went to get a new cage. Ever since the first attempt, Minnie is hiding. Im giving him tons of love as I always do, put continues to hide, and will not become happy again. it makes me sad that hes so scared, he wont even come to me. l SO..we have to take him to the vet today with a new carrier just so he can get his shots. at 6.Question So my question is, how do I help Minnie to feel more comfortble to come out from hiding, and cooperate instead of spazzing out and being terrified? Looking for a specific Cat Carrier I saw - but I can't remember the brand!?
I was recently at a TICA Cat show and the owners of the cats had these large carriers I thought were absolutely terrific. I travel to and from NY NC with my 3 kitties several times a year, and would love to invest in one of these large carriers. They had food and water holders and a litter box holder ideal for these types of long trips. They had several sizes, one for two cats and even one for three. The best feature I liked is that they seatbelt into place great for the safety of my pets If anyone knows the type of carriers I'm referring to, please tell me I know they are quite expensive, but in my opinion well worth the investment Thanks 10 Points to the first person who knows
Best Cat Carrier or Kennel?
In light of the recent hurricane and earthquake, I was wondering if you could suggest the best cat carrier out there. I know that soft cloth ones are not recommended as the absence of rigid walls makes the cat anxious inside. On the other hand, the most basic plastic ones are very uncomfortable to most cats. Some higher priced ones don't offer much improvement in the structure of the carrier and mostly focus on making in more appealing to the pet owner by choosing bright colors and such.So do you know a really sturdy cat carrier that I could use in an emergency like that? Links to relevant products are welcome Thank you
