Experience with cat birth control pills/shots.?
I am considering using a birth control method not spaying for my indoor Himalayan cat. Since I am expecting a new baby soon and also a move, I want to delay breeding her for quite a while until we are settled and I am ready to care for her and her kittens.I can deal with her howling while she's in heat, but I would like her to be able to roam the house instead of having to keep her in a seperate room at night because of the noise.I have never tried either of these methods of birth control in cats before and I would like to know others experiences, such as side effects, cost, and effectiveness.ThanksPlease DO NOT respond unless you have actual experience with birth control pills shots for cats.Serious answers only.

Help cat birthing question?
So my cat is having her kittens and im guessing she is having them pretty far apart the two that she took me to are so cold and i cant get them to nurse and she wont stay there unless im there ... i am trying to help them latch on but it doesnt seem to be working i am afraid i handled them to much i don't know if that can kill him ... anyways i thought maybe someone has dealt with this problem before also and I would ask before i try to call a vet on a sunday So if you know how i can help them nurse or what i should do i have been up for 30 minutes with her and she is still in labor but no more kittens have come yet she is more interested in me rubbing her belly rather tahn licking them or trying to get them to nurse.
Cat going into labor? Anybody experience cat birth?
My pregnant cat like 20 minutes ago started to act really strange. Like she saw a ghost....she was walking around the room sniffing EVERYTHING like she saw something and stopped every 2 minutes or so to lick her woman parts or the side of her stomach. Her eyes were very wide and she showed no interest in me. Also I have been checking her for days to see is any discharge was present, and there never was any. I just checked about ten minutes ago and there was a LITTLE bit of clear discharge. Her breathing seemed to speed up and then go back to normal alot too All of this continued on for like 10 or 15 minutes. Now...she is laying on a pile of towels kneeding every so often and looking quite content and as if she is dozing off. Is it normal to have resting periods like this or something?Ok so I checked and she is on her side...looking relaxed, but fully awake. Her breathing is slow but heavy.

Is there such a thing as cat birth control? we'd like our cat to have kittens again next year but do not want her to have them when she comes into season as would be hard to find homes and we don't want her to have them so soon after her first litter.
Update on the cat birth?
Here is the story that happened last night...There has been a ginger stray cat we checked to see if it was someone's but no walking near my house for the past few days some times and even jumps in. My family and I have been thinking it looked pregnant and yes it was. She just jumped in the house some how and got comfy under the bed I didn't know until I came in the room to find she had already given birth to one kitten already and I can see plenty more coming on the way oh goodness gracious me What on earth do I do? I want to make a bed or something for the mum without stressing her out how do i make a simple bed quickly to fit all of them in and lots more coming on the way ??? I'm willing to keep all the cats but I need help for the days coming on after all this drama Where does she stay for the night in my house??? Do I do anything? What do I feed all of them???My aunt is a cat breeder and she knows stuff about this I witnessed her doing all the things to help a cat once BUT when I was little so I don't remember anything I can't call my aunt now or a vet I know I have to calm down but telling myself that isn't really helping me much. She had given birth to 11 kittens don't get me started.... LOL . I managed to run out get and get cat food really quickly including everything you need for a cat everything and more like scratch post a dozen of them, name tags, collars. toys and many more including 12 cat beds and 12 food bowls. LOL . Yep you guessed it, I'm keeping all of the cats Now I am the mum to 12 cats, woah . I have taken them all to the vets and all have been vaccinated and everything else and have been given the clean bill of health The mum has been spayed. Do you think what I'm doing is the right thing?I need some more help with the cats now...1. What do you think I should name them? They are all Scottish fold cats. The mum is pure ginger with little bit of white under her belly. 10 girl kittens and one boy. outnumbered eh? poor boy... lol 4 of the girls are ginger and white but can tell them all apart because they all have different patterns. 3 of them are torties again I can tell them apart. 2 of them are calicos again I can tell them apart. 1 is pure white with blue eyes not deaf as vet said . Lastly the boy who is pure black with green eyes. All of the cats have amber coloured eyes except from the pure white and pure black kitten. 2. The mum cat sometimes brings all her kittens up to me and herself and her kittens snuggle up to me, what does this mean??? I AM NOT KEEPING ALL THE KITTENS TO MYSELF. THEY ARE GOING TO BE WITHIN MY > CLOSE< FAMILY SO I WILL SEE THEM EVERYDAY So it would be like, some of the kittens for me, some for my brother, my mother and so on...Thank you guys some may also go to my auntie and so on... I see all of them everyday so it wouldn't be bad. BUT not now because I have to wait for them to be an appropriate age so I can give some to my close family No, the vet told me they were scottish folds especially since the mother is. I know I am lucky but I had a panic attack when she was giving birth especially when she gave birth to eleven that's when I called my auntie to check. Really? My auntie told be 11 kittens is normal. Hmmm..... Are you sure that it is highly likely that one of the kittens will die??? Thank for the good luck, I'll need it.
Weird cat birth? 2 dead kittens.?
my cat gave birth to a still born last night , looked very small. then today i wake up to find an extremely undeveloped fetus. Should i be concerned? i touched her stomach gently and seems to be nothing else in there.she seems fine now. acting as if she was not even pregnant
