Male cat behavior problems?
I have a male cat who is about 1 1 2 years old. I used to have two male kittens. About a month ago I gave away the two kittens when they got old enough. Immediately I noticed an extreme change in my cat's behavior. He was always hyper but it has gotten more extreme. He does not like to be left alone at all, If I go into another room without him he sits outside the door and meows non stop. He will claw up the carpet outside the door and jump at the door trying to find a way in, he doesn't give up. When I go out in the same room he will follow me around wanting to be petted and roll around on the floor like he smells catnip. I think my cat has lost it He is never calm, I thought when I gave the kittens away he would calm down some. I'm a little worried about him, this doesn't seem normal.Could it be he is afraid he will be given away too? He seems so stressed out, what can I do to help him?

Major cat behavior problems...HELP!?
Ok so I have a 8 month old seal lynx point tabby that I adopted from a shelter. About 2 weeks after I adopted him it turns out that he had distemper. Even though he was vaccinated he must of had the disease before they vaccinated him he had only been in the shelter for 2 days before I adopted him So he was in the hospital for about a week on iv fluids and I wasn't sure if he was going to make it since 75% of kittens who enter vet clinics don't survive, but he ended up surviving. Ok now to the problems which he has many1. He trys to climb walls he literally sits and the bottom of the wall and looks like he wants to touch the ceiling.2. He runs sideways3. He always is trying to get out. He has gotten out 2 times in the past week and someone took him to the local shelter and we had to spend $50 each time to get him out. He has a harness on so it has a id tag on it. I have tried leash training him but if I take him outside he will give me this weird look and then attack me for some reason. I don't even do anything.4. He bites people. He will literally walk up to you and act like he is all sweet and then attack you.It is so sad because he was so sweet when I brought him home from the shelter and then after he came home from the vet he went mad. I have only had him for 2 months. And he is neutered if that helps. He was neutered the day before I adopted him.

Can anyone explain two cat behavior problems?
I have two lovely, healthy 9 month year old cats at home but I would like to understand two albeit not serious behaviors they have.Firstly, from my experience with cats and from reading up on them, I know that cats often knead with their paws before lying down etc... My cats have never done this, or at least I've never seen them do this, even though I spend a lot of time with them. I'm guessing it's unimportant, but I do find it weird, as most cats do it. Anyone have any idea why? Also, I have another question. One of my cats stops whatever he's doing and bolts after me whenever I go to the toilet. He then purrs non stop, rubs himself against my legs and tries to jump on my lap. At first I thought it was cute but now it's just annoying, not to mention unhygenic. But when I close the door to stop him from comming in, he just waits outside miowing and scratching the door so I'll let him in. Other than that, he's a normal cat. He plays, sleeps, eats... He just gets clingy whenever I go to the bathroom Is it just a weird " cat thing" ? Is he a pervert s ? Lol.Anyway I'm sure it's nothing serious, I just wanted to know if any one could shed some light on the subject, so any ideas are welcome I should add, I live in France, and the toilets are seperated from the bathtub and sink. We have a room with a shower tub sink and a room bit like a closet with a toilet. An odd french feature, but practical when someone's in the shower... So the cat doesn't have anywhere to drink from More about the cats They are both male.Haven't been neutered yet.I don't clip their claws, they have 5 scratching posts that they use a lot. They're both indoor cats.

What to do about cat behavior problems?
My cat has always been a bit..odd, but lately his behavior has been worrying. He'll jump up on a person's lap, but if they move or talk he'll growl at them and hiss, seeming very angry. He occasionally gets very scared and vocal around people, hissing and running away, and, again, acting angry. We're worried that the behavior may escalate into aggression, since he's so odd and unpredictable. Nobody who's met him would describe him as " nice." He just acts crazy. We adopted him as a kitten, and have taken proper care of him. Why does he act like this towards people?

Cat behavior Problem, For People with Knowledge about Cats?
I am a complete dog person, but, when it comes to cats, I really don't know so much. I got a 2 year old cat from the pound a couple years ago, they were going to put him to sleep, told me he was not a nice cat, I felt sorry for him, so I brought him home. We only had a dog at the time, and he was kind of a crab, but, we began to bond, and are now fine with each other. About 2 weeks ago he developed crystals, and I took him to the vet 7 times, spent a small fortune. They gave me special food for him, and antibiotics. The food was $15.00 for a small bag. He refused to eat it, so I started forcefeeding him with a sringe, mixing the food with water, and blending it. He is all better, now. However, he is driving me crazy. The vet said he HAS to stay on this food, and he still won't eat it. I called them back, and they told me to try Purina One for UTIS. He won't eat that either. It's going on 3 weeks, and I am still forcefeeding him the Presc. Diet, well, not forcefeeding him anymore. Now, he wants me to feed him, he will not eat on his own. I know he wants to be fed because he comes to me and meows, then purrs as I feed him. I really don't have time to do this, HAVE 3 kids and school, will go back to work soon. He tried to sneak the dog's food, and ripped open a whole bag of dog chow he snuck in the closet. I don't know what to do. Has anyone ever heard of this, and what should I do? HELP sharliz 7... I think you may have gotten the wrong idea, I really do appreciate your knowledge about crystals, but, what I was trying to say is I HAVE not denied him any medical treatment, taking him to the vet 7 times, I would say is doing everything possible. We all love him very much, and want him to be here. He has gotten better, is playing, purring, looks healthy. I did the right thing by buying him the food, and am keeping him on prescription diet S D. The vet is the one who suggested trying the purina one, and told me it works quite well. Really, when you think about it, no one wants a full grown adult cat, while at the vet, about 5 people, over 7 days came in to put their animals to sleep because they could not afford them anymore, and no I do not want to hold my pee for a very long time, I did not want him to either, which is why I took him to the vet to be catherized several times. I just simply wanted to know how to get him to eat on his own, that's all. Thanks...Bella

Cat behaviour problems following death of second cat?
I adopted 2 male neutered cats from a rescue centre 2 months ago. They were already a pair but completely different cats to look at one is tabby and white, sinewy and muscly Arthur and the other a black and white moggy Harry . Unfortunately, Harry was killed in a RTA last week and although I feel devastated inside, I am getting on with things because Arthur was showing signs of being affected by my sadness. But Arthur is missing his playmate they were both 10 months 1 year old so would chase each other round the house and garden for hours at a time. Arthur has a lot of energy and although I am playing with him for up to 3 hours a day, it doesn't seem enough for him. He cries and talks a lot and has also stopped going into the garden although he will sit at the open back door looking out and go out for a brief time if I am there . He is eating OK.Should I be thinking about a new companion for him already? Thanks to all of you who have takent he time to answer my question. It's much appreciated

Cat behaviour problem?
Greetings. I've been feeding a cat from the street that just showed up in my neighboorhood. Later I found out that his former owners were moving away from the neighboorhood, and they left him behind. And because of this, I felt very sorry for that particular cat because he's very friendly and cuddling, so I adopted him 6 months ago. I'am facing the following problems. He emewos excessively, especially the last few days now. I've tried to make him stop countless times, but it was futile. He's not sick or anything. I've taken him to the vet already. Besides all this, he has urinated 3 4 times in total in my house. What could be wrong? Is it that there's something that bothers him? Can cats get used indoors once they have lived outdoors before? I really don't know what to do. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Cat behavior problems!?
Hi,My cat Lucky actually got out 2 days ago and disappeared for 1 day. When she came back, Ami, her " sister" They have been raised together, and she really loved her suddenly started hissing and growling at her for no reason. Whenever she sees Lucky, she will start spitting and hissing and growling. Why is she doing that? It is really scaring me because, what if Ami attacks her?? Please help me I don't want to make an unexpected vet trip with money I don't have < 33 Ashlee

Cat behavior problems: inappropriate deification?
I know this is embarising, but I have a cat that, for some reason, will not use his litter box. I have tried changing the litter, cleaning the litter box every time he uses it, changing his diet, and changing the litter box's location.

Cat behavior problems. :P?
My cat, whom I love very much but who is very... well, not so smart. She is fixed, and she is an outside cat. She has a litter box But our garden has a layer of tarp to keep weeds from growing, and then a layer of lots and lots of little rocks on that for decoration, and she keeps pooping in this corner of the rocks. I have cleaned up the poop and I have sprinkled this keep away stuff on it, but it only works for twenty four hours under good weather, and it isn't cheap. How can I keep my cat from pooping in our garden? And how the heck to I get rid of the smell? Even after being cleaned and sprayed with water the spot still stinks... really bad. Please help I love my cat very much but this is not fun at all.

Serious bengal cat behaviour problems!!?
Ok i'll apologise in advance if some of this doesn't make sense, i'm tiered and impatient. So a little over a month ago we got a bengal kitten. We had him for about 2 weeks and then we had 2 leave for europe for a month holiday. We left him at a cattery during this time with a lady we know very well. We've been back for a little over a week now and we're had some serious issues with him. I should probably tell you he's about 4 months, probably closer to 5. And we got him at about 3 months. Here are all the issues we've had 1Excessive clawing He scratches us beyond what acceptable play alltought i realise he is just playing 2Jumping on furniture while we have been lucking that he has not been scratching anything he shouldn't be he has taking to his scratching post quite well he climbs on the table and the kitchen benches those are the places i am most concerned about because that's where we eat. I am not to fussed about him sitting in the sofas 3Not responding to boundaries we are setting when he jumps up on the kitchenbench table places he's not allowd, we spray him with a spray bottle and growl at him, he does not seem to respond to this discipline because he continues to jump on the kitchen bench.4inappropriate elimination Ok yes that's just some funny term i found on the internet, and for those who don't know what it means, it means that he dosn't pee in his litter box. Well he does most of the time, but he's peed on my bedding twice and on the leather sofas twice.5He steps in his sorry poo and walks it through the house sorry if i put any unfriend images in ur head Not much more detail i can add to that one appart from it's gross and unhygienic cause he jumps on the kitchen bench.Ok those are the issues that are of biggest concern to me, there r other issues like him being very active at night i know this is only natural Oh and i should point out that i understand that most of these behaviours r only natural for bengals and part of growing up for any kitten. But i don't know what to do about them And i can't live with this kind if behaviour Either there is some way to fix this, or bengals are just not the right cat for me.I am at my wits end I really have no idea what to do. The only thing i can think of is handing him into an animal shelter. But i don't wanna cause he is a gorgeous cat.So either someone here can help me change my mind and help me fix these issues or he's going to an animal shelter.Sorry i know that was really long And i wil be great full for ANY answersThanxx worried bengal ownerrockmaiden25 in an attempt to stand up for myself, i hope you can understand,I did research, some of my friends are bengal owners or know bengal owners and they all said great things about them. The breeder, a very nice lady who we spoke to many times before we received the cat, said that they were great cats and not too wild and yes i knew they were a little wild .Also a quick google search doesn't bring up many bad things about bengals. So how should i know any better about them being SUPER wild? The breeder also told us that squirting them is a good way to discipline them. And i wasn't growing at him it was more a firm NO or GET DOWNAnd i said that i understand that all of this behaviour is normal cat kitten behaviour.I was more asking for help on how to deal with it, like discipline tips, how to stop toilet accidents etcAnd plus i am willing to deal with the cat, but i rly donno how, and that's what i'm asking for help with.Oh and i already own a gold fish.Oh and sorry every one, when i said i grown at him i mean i tell him NO or GET DOWN in a firm voice.when i said i growl at him sorry

Cat behavior problem, I need help...?
My cat has a bad habit of waking me up at all hours of the day and night... She will come to my door scratching on it, and if I don't get up she will scratch at the door really loudly. This is annoying the hell out of me, not to mention that she is breaking my door I have two other cats, and they don't do that. I give her plenty of attention, plus I always check their food and water, and they have plenty. She was a stray we took in, but she is now spayed. And she has all her shots. I don't know what is causing this problem, does anyone know what it might be? I take her to the vet all the time, and they never found anything wrong, she seems fine but then she pulls this. I wouldn't mind having her in the room with me but I tried that and she wants out. Also she will touch me with her cold wet nose, constantly waking me up. So even if she gets what she wants, she is still not happy I have come to the conclusion that she just does not want me to sleep for whatever reason. o O
