How do I get my cats to stop sleeping on my body and use the cat bed?
Every day when I go to bed everything is fine until I wake up in the middle of the night with one cat on my head and the other on my chest. I know that I should just close my door at night but I start to feel bad when they scratch at my bedroom door. But they also sleep on me when I take naps a home. I bought a cat bed but the don't use it. If anyone can give me some advise to how I should get them to use the cat bed and to why they keep on sleeping on my body?

I have 3 cats 2 large cats and a thin cat. I got a cat bed for them recently because the always sleep on the tables and chairs. When we first got it, they were fighting over it. Then we sprayed flea killer on it and they won't come near the thing. The bed doesn't smell bad anymore but maybe they can still smell it. I tried putting them in the bed but they just jump back out.How can I get them to sleep in it? It looks and feels very comfortable. It is placed near the couches in the living room where they sleep sometimes.Thanks

Does this even exist?I have a scratch post with a basket on top but you cant take the basket off, its stuck & stapled.My cat has ongoing health problems and is sick often every day for the last week and shes normally sick in her basket. Why won’t my cat sleep in his cat bed anymore?
Is that normal? He d been sleeping in it ever since I bought it for him which was about 9 months ago. It s a nice bed with his favourite fluffy and comfy blanket so we don t understand his sudden change in behaviour. Now he sleeps on the floor about two feet away from his bed though. At first we thought it was because his blanket smelled so we washed it hoping he would sleep in his bed again but he hasn t gone near it.

I have an old indoor cat that gets cold and I placed a cat bed on top of a heating pad to keep her warm...she loves it. I also have a warming throw across the foot of my bed that she lays on at night. I've been doing this for quite a while but now I am wondering just how safe it is. Does anyone have any better ideas? hi, we have a 1 year old indoor cat russian blue. have tried all the answers in these pages but am now at wits end. we let him have the run of the house at night and yet he sits outside the bedroom door meeowing and bumping it, then we moved him at night into a spare room with litter and bed and toys, still every morning at 6am hes bumping and crying, we tried the get out of bed and spray him with a water pistol, still he doesnt get the messege, have tried ignoring but it goes on and on and on, would it be wrong to put him in our outside shed at night with anothe rlitter tray and food etc and bring him in on the morning ? what if its freezing point outside ? am considering having to let him go. getting that bad.have tried leaving bedroom door open, he just jumps on bed and wakes us up even more like 10 times a night
