I want to get a siamese or a abyssinian cat because they are said to be very smart and are very protective of their owners and like to go on walks, but i would probably get one from a breeder, but they cost like 400. Also i feel sorry for rescue kittens and i was thinking about getting on of them, but i have a rescue cat and she isnt realy protective cat attached to her 1 owner. i would realy love a cat who would stick with me and go where i go...and i have read that siamese and abyssinians are known for that. would a rescue kitten be able to train for a leash and actually like it? would they be able to flay fetch and do tricks etc...? shut up miss know it all. i have had cats all my life and dont you dare tell me to research.
Should I get abyssinian cat if i am in university?
Hello, I am currently studying in university, and planning to get a part time job. I really want a cat and through research i found out that abyssinian would be the best breed for me. I have read that they are quite active and need a lot of attention, so do you think it's a good idea. I am living in an apartment, so the only problem that could arise is that the cat might get lonely. Could anyone who maybe has a cat, tell, if its hard to be and uni and take care of a pet. ps. i love pets, and i get really lonely when i write papers alone in the room, so maybe it would be a good idea...... hELP please
California abyssinian cats or kittens?
I am interested in well breed abyssinian cats or kittens. I am only looking for a ruddy.I have had only three in the last 45 years. We have just lost not only our abby but our 16 year Border Collie.both at age 16.

I'm thinking about adopting one if I ever find one at my local SPCA hopefully one will be there. I'm NOT going to a breeder I refuse if I never find one at the shelter then I just won't own one. but, could anybody tell me about their temperment, their size, do they get along with other cats I have 2 other indoor cats , how much they tend to weigh, what their diet should consist of if different from any other cat . I've been looking up their breed on the internet and have found out some specific stuff about them and still wanted to know if anybody ever owned one before or does own one and what their really like. if you know anything about them then please answer Abyssinians are one of my fav breeds besides my 2 kitties breeds of course

I am interested in an Abyssinian cat and today called a breeder about a kitten. The woman was a fill in expletive . She talked to me like I was a child and said that she had to have vet references, background check, credit check, spayed and neutered her Aby's before being sold for $850.00 and if you ever couldn't keep the cat anymore, it went back to her, no exceptions.I'm sorry, but legally when you buy something and pay close to a grand for it, isnt it legally yours? Legally, she has no say so to that cat anymore.Do all Abyssinian breeders act like they have a stick up their self ? I do not play on buying one of her wanna be Beverly Hills cats She's from Louisiana . I said I will call back when they are able to be adopted. She said " Mam, you obviously dont understand. Its not a when they are to be adopted, its an if I let you and like you enough to let you" . I've probably had more cats than this stupid woman ever has dreamed about.What is her problem? Do all cat breeders act this stupid? Will I face this with every Abyssinian breeder?

A couple of weeks ago my friend got a cat, and it seemed really cool. So i decided to look into it myself.. and found the Foreign White Siamese cat..... and apparently the rest of my family did NOT like it at all. So i started to look up other ones and i came across a particular one. It was the Abyssinian, and my whole family loved it. For those who don't know what it looks like, it is a oriental cat that's has the feature of wild cats. But anyways. the question i had was 1 Are there Abyssinian cats in the New York State.Preferably somewhere in Onieda county or Mohawk Valley. 2 What age do Abyssinian cats live to in human years.
Name for my Abyssinian cat character?
I came up with this idea a while ago, I'm hoping to find someone on deviantart.com who might be interested in making this into an animated short film. But here goes It's a short story about my Male Abyssinian cat character, he starts of as being a normal tan colored Abysinnian cat with light green eyes. But then one day he's caught in an alley, the person who picks him up dyes his fur tomato red. He also dyes the cat's paws black as well as part of his tail. Once done he now has the coloring of a fox with the exception of his original tan colored coat on his chest, underbelly and mouth. While on the set for a pet commercial the cat meets another Abysinnian named Gina who has tan fur similar to his, only her paws and part of her tail have been dyed black. Once the commerical is done, the male cat is taken back to alley, though now he feels lonely but then he notices Gina is with him and the two become friends.Anyone got any ideas for names for this cat character?Personality He's pretty nice guy though he get picked on by other cats in the story, until he meets Gina the femael abyssinian I mentioned who is kind and friendly toward him. She also has light blue eyes Basically the storyline is about a cat who lives a hard knock life but in the end he finds a friend.The name of the story is " Alley Catz"
Japanese chin and Abyssinian cat questions?
My mother is on vacation in the US and I live in Europe with my father and she was thinking about bringing back a Japanese Chin, about 6 years of age. The problem is that I own two male Abyssinian 7 years and 11 month cats who don't really like dogs that much, but my grandma says that it's not that big a problem. Can someone answer a few questions for me?1. Will the cats kill the Japanese Chin while I am outside to the grocery store?2. Will they bully her Japanese chin She's smaller than our cats I believeJust give me any kind of information about Japanese Chins and Abyssinian cats, you can also give me some websites.
